my mother received the call. they were asking if a Karla Flores was there. that is not our name, but by chance my wife's maiden name is Flores. Mom told them this and they started guessing common first names, obviously looking for more info. At one point they even mentioned my deceased fathers's name under which my mother's phone number is listed. Mom is older and her mind is failing, Im sure they picked up on this. called ended when they requested Miss Flores return their call at 888-903-6262 X22601 and ask for MaryAnn.

Received two calls the same day from two different people supposedly from Bank of America looking for two different names, but the names were closely related to my family name.   Have not yet returned the call, but obviously they are fishing for something.

The company is Bank of America; and they are collecting a debt through card member services.  I do owe them money and am currently hoping they can hold off on sending the account to collections.  I gave them my social security and no other info, they knew it was me; so, it can't be a scam.  They are very helpful if you are willing to payoff your debt.  The gave me an option to reduce the total amount by up to 75%.  I did not accept it since I plan on paying off everything --

You didnt accept the deal? If you dont accept the deal when they call you will end up messing up your credit.  That number means your account is about to charge off -- at least make the minimum payment to hold the account each month from going to collections - it will make life much easier in the long run.

about 2 weeks ago I got a call from a blocked number asking for someone with my old maiden name.  I said that no one is here with that last name.....but it was my maiden name.....that caller appologized and then hung up... today I recieved a letter from "bank of america" with my brothers official name on it but my address.  They say that he has a debt to thme and that he should pay it off or they have no other recourse to send it to the collectors.  the phone number listed is 1 888 903 6262.  I think this is part of the nigerian scam.

They will say that they are from Bank of America and will have your correct name if it is listed. They use scare tactics like "this is an emergency" and "your account as been jeopardized" to make you emotionally unstable so that they could get any information out of you.

Do not give any information! Do not return their calls!

Warn your kids and elderly parents/relatives about it. They try to get innocent and naive people.

They seemed to have all of my account information correct as well as my balances due and were even
mentioning my husbands accounts. They knew my ssn and everything.

I got a call from this number at my work place and he asked for me using my full name. When I answered he said he was calling from Bank of America and he had to confirm he was talking to the right person so her asked for my address. I said I wasn't going to give it to him since he called me. He said "I understand but I need to make sure I am talking to the right person". I said if you want I can call you back. He gave me the number : 88-903-6262 ext 21186. His name was Darwin Noel. I googled the number as soon as I got off the phone and found a few site stating this was a scam. Needless to say I am not calling back

some one called from this number said they needed me to call them back but they used my brothers name she said her name was donna calling from a person search office and used the name patrick sullivan as a lawyer that was going to sue or summons me? my brother? to court  they obviously did not know who they were calling. sounds a little fishy possible scam. as i have had a couple of  scammers try stuff over the phone before.

Some one called stating they were from Bank of America and as for me by name. Said they were calling regarding my cash rewards account ending in XXXX and could I verify the address on the card. I said that I would not and they hung up
