Call almost everyday from some snippy woman named Maureen about some debt that I owe. As far as I know all my credit cards were paid off over 5 years ago.

I man with a southern accent called.  I could not understand most of his words.  He seems to be calling from a collection agency.  He was asking for someone that sounds like my name.  Since I don't owe money to anyone, he must be calling the wrong person.  I wish they could stop calling me.

they can stop calling you.  answer the call and find out what they are calling about, if it is not a legitiamte debt tell them and ask them not to call you any more.  document each conversation you have with them and the time and date.  if the persist and dont stop calling after you have told them it not your debt they are calling about and to stop calling you, you have grounds for a law suit.

that is what i am in the process of doing.  they are from SRA Associates and it is a collection agency for Banks.

some obnoxious guy named vincent canmarata irrately told me I had to devulge my name to him and insinuated I was my daughter who he was trying to reach. I told him I would relay his message= name phone, co. and file ## but if he wasn;t willing to tell me what it was about besides a personal business matter he probably wouldn't get a return call from her. HE wanted to know why I was being so evasive and I just told him " Hey, you were the one who called here= I really have no idea who you are and i am under NO obligation whatsoever to tell you anything= my name, does xxxx have another # to reach her, why did she list this #, what relation xxxx is to me, why I am being so evasive=

I have no idea how they got my cell phone number, have never had a debt with the company they keep calling about, yet NO ONE seems to be able to stop them from hitting redial to your phone all day........everrrryyy day, almost preventing use of your own phone.
I have had the same cell number 15+ years and do not think I should have to switch numbers to get them to stop harassing me.  Why is this legal???????

They called me about a $220, I already paid in 2018. I have a recording where they stated I paid and a letter closing the case.  They still called me in 7/2020. caller was Ryan.

No humans are initially involved. If someone answers the call a robocaller automatically records the number and any other relevant information.That info is then forwarded to a real human which will then proceed to harass you.

Lina posted here 7 years ago. Why would she need that information now? Also, you seem to be mistaken in how it works. It doesn't "record" anything. It simply passes the call off to someone who has an open line.

They are calling me about a car lease that is terminated more than 4 years old. This is doom for the statue of limitations. Not only that it has been paid near 3 years ago.

Why would this phone call "doom" the "statue of limitations"? Does that mean that statue will be destroyed somehow? Where is that "statue" anyway? In a park or a museum?
Perhaps you meant the Statute of Limitations? That would actually be a law although I still don't see how this call could "doom" it.
