I received a call this morning at 9:07. I didn't answer because I don't pick up on calls that read Out Of Area. However, they left a message. When I went to listen...all I got was someone on the other end not talking and loud music in the background of where ever they were calling from. They played with the receiver of the phone for a couple of seconds and then hung up. How ruded!

I had a call today approx. at 3:55 pm.  They stated they were Experian and wanted to update my business info.  Since I get many calls like this from others, Harte Hanks, Yellow Pages, I did the same thing.... gave them nothing.  I asked since when does Experian call businesses to update. They are a credit agency solely to report my credit worthiness.... not update.  I said if you are updating you must have my info already.  Everything is the same.  Merry Christmas and good by.  They are so IRRITATING!

Today was the second day someone called me from 1-888-929-3282 and when I picked up and responded, no one talked to me and after ten seconds or so the phone was hung up. I then tried to call them and an automated answering system requested me to enter my phone number and I just pushed 1 and it asked me if it is correct push 1 otherwise push 2, I pushed 1 and then immediately one of the so called Experian representative came on line and asked me to give info about my business. I asked who is that person calls me and never talks. In reply he told he is sorry for that and insisted me to give my business info. I denied and told I am not a business person and do not call me any further. He wanted to talk further to get info but I disconnected line. It was ridicules.

Person from Experian called and stated he was updating my husbands business info.  I do not give out info like this over the phone so I asked him to mail something to me.  This way I can check this out without giving info over phone.

Let there BE NO DOUBT...they are still around and I just got a call from them. Sounded like they were outside CONUS as it sounded like a Repeater station. The chick was speaking so fast I couldn't understand her...so I hung up.

BE ASSURED...they are NOT Experian...and "THERE" is a reason why they are calling. Be careful and hang up the phone.

Said they were confirming information from Experion.  Asked about my business, location, and owner, number of employees. Then gave this number as the Experion number to call if I had any questions.

Got a call from them just now.  I didn't answer.  When I put my number on the "Do Not Call Registry", I stopped getting calls from all of these solicitors or whoever they are.  When I called the phone company about a problem with my bill and they switched me over from the Bell South to the AT&T system it seems all of that went out of the window.  I guess I'll answer the phone using a fake business name and see if they say anything.  muhahaha!

The best way to handle calls like this is to mess with them. Say to them you have an ear infection and ask them to speak louder. Then louder. Then louder still. Then tell them that's too loud and to spaek a little lower. Then start over with not loud enough...could you speak a little louder?

Why would Experian be calling to update our business info? I find that very odd - since we have never had to do that before.

Received the same call, obviously a large phone bank from the background sound. Asked me if it was "business team", then I asked who were they trying to reach, they verified the dialed number and started on the questions about is this a business, etc?
I asked who are you calling, and she started telling me that this wasn't a solicitation, I told her I didn't say it was, and who are you calling, she said she was from experian, I said who...are...you...callING, she started to tell me her name, I DC'd it

Yes this is very annoying and as an employee puts me in an awkward spot as far as giving out business information I feel they are trying to trick me. Is there anyone to report this to? There has to be something.....

"experian" liars. They call once a year around this time claiming to want to update my business information, on my home phone. They say that they are experian, but this isn't so. Experian has my information and can verify it via written document as is expressed in my files, thanks to identity theft issues years ago. They can also cross reference the other two reporting agencies if need be, easily. It's public information. This is a sales scam to sell stuff. When the person asks if it is my business, I ask who's calling. They reveal their identity and I refuse to give any information over the phone. Never give info over the phone. I thank them and hang up. They'll call a few more times this tax season and then quit for another year.

Got a call from the same number yesterday. They are LEGIT Experian third-party number. They are simply calling you people so they can verify the information they got from public lists. Don't be too ignorant. Experian is a Credit Bureau! For crying out loud, if you want a clear credit record then participate! They only ask 5 verifying/inquiring questions. As far as I can remember they only asked questions you could see outside my store (Store name etc). These questions don't kill. Experian maintains nationwide database of businesses. You expect them to visit all businesses and organizations nationwide one-by-one to get this info; so they can clear/update your credit record (which you would greatly appreciate in time!)? Whatever happened to the American brain lately?
