I have a charge on my master card.

Our debit account was charged through my husband's card in Canada (never been there) and our bank told us that the number for the company that made it was 888-955-5455. Someone must have skimmed his card.

My credit card had a charge on it (less than $100) showing the 888-955-5455 BC phone number with the company name of Pacific Coast TV. Google showed this to be the Canadian name for the PBS TV channel KCTS Seattle. This was the phone number they used to solicit donations for their Public Broadcasting network.

I have a charge on my visa for 'Coast to Coast 8889555455'. Does anyone know what this is all about?

Yes, I was also perplexed but it turns out it is the Canadian name for the PBS TV channel KCTS Seattle.  If you responded to their fundraising charity call, this is where they collect the Canandian funds.

This is a company that provides services for various non-profit organizations.  The brief description before the phone number identifies the particular charity that you donated to.

I had COAST TO COAST 888-955-5455 ON appear on my card too & then I remembered that it was an indoor biking fundraiser for a children's camp.  :)

This is a comapny the collects for non-profits.  It was for the Pancreatic Cancer Network for me.

I had just short of £200 come off my debit card with Red Cross against it - someone got my card details !!

This is also the phone number given for those who donate to BC Cancer Society.   Must be a company that collects money for them.

Have a $20 charge on my Visa card, Says OFTDF 888-955-5455 BC. I do not remember making a dotation to a charity? I only donate locally in Ontario? Will investigate if it happens again.

I Googled this number to figure out what it was but I have since remembered that I donated $30 to D.I.F.D. (Do It For Daron).

This charge showed up on my credit card statement and I have no idea who it is from.  I have not used my credit card recently.  Nobody had called me so I don't know who this is from.

This company is a charity which covers Cancer ride.  I had the same bill but Amex verified it was for Cancer and I DID make the donation.  Check with your husband.

For me this was a donation to the 2015 Tour for the Kids Cancer ride in Barrie ON.

For me it was Royal Ontario Museum : "THE ROM 21RO 1(888)9555455" on the credit card statement

I donated online to a fundraiser called "The Inside Ride" and the charge came from Coast to Coast

I saw this charge as well and realized I made a donation to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta.  The charge showed up as "CPAA 888-955-5455".

I wish the charges showed up with a little more description.

Did not get called, but the number showed up on my CC statement - this is actually the phone number of a 3rd party billing company, IATS, that a charity I donated to used - very confusing as the only the first several letters of charity name was included after the phone number, but enough that I could figure it out.
