Spark Energy - an ESCO - wants me to buy power from them instead of ConEd

They call here a lot, and hang up if they get the answering machine.  If they get a live person, they lie about whatg they are up to, claim theya re associated with Con Ed, etc.

They should be tarred and feathered.

same old damn tricks..wasting time.

How do I get them to stop calling me?

ESCO and they keep calling my cell phone. A Con Ed switch.

Call comes from ESCO looking to "lower your bills" by switching over to their company instead of paying Con Edison directly.  I called Con Edison and asked if this was a legit company and was told yes, but when I asked why I should switch, the answer was "why should you?"..  the gas and electric still comes from Con Edison.

Sales person told me it was not a sales call and then wouldn't let me speak. Everytime I asked a question I was shushed and she kept going on with her spiel.
When I pointed out that she wouldn't let me get a word in she hung up on me!!!!!

Pretending they are Con Ed, but they are not - they are an ESCO.
Kept trying to get me to reveal my account number, kept saying this is not a sales call. I told them to not call again, and the girl on the phone said, "Oh yes I will".

I received tons of phone calls from ESCOs and asked each to never call me again.  The problem is that there are dozens of ESCOs to whom ConEd has given your private contact info that will still be calling you.  You need to call ConEd directly and ask to speak with the department that gives out your phone number/e-mail to these ESCOs and ask that they (ConEd) remove your name from that list and NOT share your info with any 3rd parties.  It seems like such a violation that we have to be bothered with telling them NOT to do this, but that's the way it is.

said they were from con-ed.. Told them I was happy with my current service.. Her name was Tia.. She said you are happy with paying high bills.. I replied yes and she hung up on me.. Rude person.. Would not let me get a word in...Called number back said Sparks.. Tried to get a person on line no luck..

Called me at work and when I answered they said nothing and hung up.

Got a call from this number it was from Spark Energy but i will call spark energy myself if i need help

I JUST got a call from 888-988-8188 some guy by the name of Benjamin Howard, stated he is from Spark Energy stated he can give me a discount toward my electric bill. then he navigated me threw my bill and pointed out to me some extra state charges that were on my bill which honestly i didnt notice untill that moment. He then provided me with the PPL (which is my electric provider) 's website and their name is on the website as a provider with PPL, BUT.... that does not mean he REALLY works with them, i asked him if i can get a number to call back the company he said: " well due to the high numbers of incomming and outgoing calls that come in" i dont remember the rest sorry i work for customer service and after that line i kinda spaced out thinking this dude is tryna [***] me right now... but basicly he said no, so i took the number off my ppl website which thank u ben he provided me with and called.  the automated system said the offices are closed and to call back between normal business hours to speak to a customer service rep. =/ hmmm. so I will call both ppl and spark tomorrow and post what i find out.

They just said the same thing to me about calling back. So I told them I had it recorded that they were told not to call back and if they do I will be filing a complaint and he goes F**K YOU A**Hole I will be calling back every five mins. and also told them it was against the law to spoof numbers which they are doing now.

I received yet another call form these idiots. I asked once again to be removed form the calling list of course they say 'ok' but next month I'll get another call. Saphire is who fielded my call

Call came in, no one on the line.  Looks like they are up to the same old tricks.  If anyone finds out who these f'ers are, please post how to get in touch with them.
