- RetireeThis number is a “SCAM”. This number is Transamerica Warranty Inc, (also goes by Transcontinental Warranty, Inc.) they called my house an offered an excellent deal on purchasing an extended warranty for my vehicle, however when I received the warranty, it wasn’t what I expected. They not only took my down payment of $650 but also took out a monthly installment which I never agreed to! I have blocked those after the first one. After reviewing the contract I realized they were not going to honor any claims because of the small print....I have to PROVE that I have serviced my vehicle on a regular basis and had to provide receipts for all repairs and services. I have sent many e-mails and documents verifying that I have indeed sent a letter of cancellation and still no refund. I am convinced this is a real SCAM. BEWARE OF THEIR SCAM!!!!! DON’T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE COMPANIES!!!! They continue to make LAME excuses and promises they never keep. Please BEWARE!

- retiree 82I bought an extended warranty from this company and had to have a new transmission on my Buick they paid for everything. I am very pleased with this company. The people that scream scam probably needed something fixed that was not covered and are just upset look at the car dealer you bought the car from they are probably worse.
- Beverly KleinI received a call from Transaction Warrantee. They said my extended warrantee on my Toyota was expiring and I would need to activate a new extended warrantee. Then I looked at my Toyota file and discovered my warrantee does not expire until 2011. So I tried to call the 888 number and cannot reach anyone.
- Caller: Toyota Extended Warrantee (?)
- Beverly KleinContinued from above message....I called Toyota and they told me they does this all the time, and they are a scam.
- mThe dealer told me the same thing but when I had a claim they fixed the problem. The service department is told to tell you that so they can sell you a warranty. They are the scam.
- kelseyi purchased a warranty through this company, and put 650$ down, i now have my warranty, and am very pleased with it. How is it a scam? You are paying for a warranty, i'm not sure I quite understand how it is a scam. You pay for a warranty, and you are under warranty coverage!!
- Nancy L. HaunWas told my warranty had expired 09-29-08. I fell for it then called my dealer the next day and was told I was still in Warranty for 3 more years.
Now I am told I may get my money back in 6 to 8 weeks, after I fill out papers that are being mailed to me. I am really hurting without these funds and I am afraid they may not refund back to my debit card.- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty Service

To whom it ay concern,
On December 3, 2008, I was contacted by phone by an individual stating my warranty for my vehicle was expiring and that there was an opportunity for m to purchase and extension.
I asked numerous questions all with the focus of ascertaining if this was from the Toyota Company themselves. I was given information stating that like many aspects of theses situations certain warranties are parceled out. I specifically asked if the contract in question would be honored by any Toyota dealer, I was told numerous times, YES. Towards the end of the sales arrangement dealt with by a Jimmy Davis, I re-asked all the previous important questions and was told the same answers, the company TCW was an underwriter for Toyota much like other insurance companies have underwriters.
I agreed to the purchase, while searching the web and finding the company logo and similar information noted on the web page that was being given verbally. After the conversation, I noted other web references to this company stating it was a scam. I called 3 local Toyota dealers and all said they would not honor the warranty; they would do any and all repairs needed. I would have to pay in full and then I would have to secure compensation for transcontinental myself. This was not acceptable as this was a major selling point that I would not have to deal with this issue.
I made 3 phone calls to contact Mr. J Davis (this all occurred with in 15 minutes of our original sales call). He called back 30 minutes later hostile, agitated and insulting. His speech was pressured and indignant, at one point he demanded that I give him the names and number of the Toyota dealers I was referring to. As I was looking up the numbers, he was speaking to someone else on his end and referred to me as a “stupid (expletive)”. I told him I wanted the entire contract voided immediately. He first told me I would have to wait till receiving everything and then cancel like “everyone else and pay for the coverage dating from December 2. Then he said fine, *F------ cancel it” and hung up.
I contacted my credit card company and was told the charges were already placed. (This was only 45 minutes form the original call). They told me I would have to wait till it showed on my statement and could argue it ad was counseled to contact the BBB of Florida; I did and have initiated a formal complaint.
Today December 18th I received the contract in the mail. I called Michael King from EFG who informed me that my policy would be cancelled and I would have all the charges cancelled from my credit card and not be further billed.
I am demanding that this policy be cancelled as previously requested on December 3, 2008 and my credit card be reimbursed all charges fraudulently applied.

- Lonny KoflerI think my husband got ripped off on an extended car warranty deal. He paid $650 down, $300 and change a month would be charged to his credit card. He told me about it, he told me when the first payment was due, I got the whole low down on it. Today I got a cancellation notice in the mail. "The insurance policy listed below is hereby cancelled by the lender, pursuant to the authority given us by the poser of attorney in your "premium finance agreement". For further information contact you agent or broker." I called them (pretty irate) and got some 20ish idiot that didn't know anything, I said "Ok, I'll call my lawyer, I don't like getting ripped off." and hung up. Two minutes later I got a call from another 20ish idiot saying,"well, you've got a warranty card, so how can this be a rip off?" I'm waiting for my husband to come home from work and finish dealing with it. I have to deal with cancer, so I don't need this b--- s--- too. I'll keep you posted. He also has an appointment to take his car into the shop monday.
