Called just now and when I answered it went dead

these people steal information on your address, name etc. and make phoney claims

Just received call in UK from this number (USA?) - she was claiming to be from the City of London Business Development Bureau and wanted to know when we were moving.  I said "I think you've got the wrong number" and she replied "are you moving?" to which I said "NO" and she put the phone down.  Weird!

They just called claiming to be from the local business association.  Asked several times if we were moving then hung up once I confirmed we were not moving.

This person called back when I hung up on them because they wouldn't give me any information.  I told them I have looked their number up and asked them to stop calling.  She was VERY pushy and rude inquiring why I hung up and why I won't give her any information.

Same as comments below... have been receiving calls from these people asking if we're moving for over a year and today the lady was SUPER combative and threatened me.  Usually they're pleasant enough, but not today.  Not sure how to make it stop!

Scam caller

8897771117 calls asking if we want to move our business-- today they called asking if we received their brochure-- when i said "no, thank you." they said "thank you for what?!?!" a few times. if you hang up on them, they will call back.

I have been getting calls from a lady named Bianca from this company and she seems to think the receptionist has all the answers and likes to fight with me. I keep telling her the same thing that I cannot answer her questions and she needs to speak with the person who is but is available by appointment only. She never leaves a message on our person's voice mail so how can we help, but after reading your experiences I will have "fun" with her next time she calls.

Anyone hace the proper name or number of this "company"?

Wanted to know if we were still thinking of moving....I said we never were planning on moving and she said thanks and hung up

Got a call from this number and said she's from State of Texas.

Called displayed just showed the number. When I answered it there was a marble mouth on the other end. Ask her to repeat clearer what she said. Line went dead. India???????

Also received call from this number if we have found new location to move into. Told them I was unaware of us moving, wanted my name I would not give them my name unless they gave me their company name, he then said State of Pennsylvania State of business office. 889.777.1117 number. SCam, mostly Indian callers.

Same as above. The caller sounded like she was from a different country.  She said she was calling the State of New Jersey, some department.  She asked if we found our new location to where we were relocating.  Once I told her we are not moving, she hung up.

Yup - they have called multiple times.  Say they are from the City of Seattle business something or other and it sounds official except the people in the background (call center noises) and the thick accent.  They called back when I sent them to my boss who didn't answer.  And waited on hold (because I'm BUSY thank you!!)  I was afraid to insult them by hanging up - not sure they weren't official.  Now I know better, I will do just that.

My business has received numerous calls, sometimes from this number, sometimes a different number, but always from the same woman. She gives different names and identifies herself as being from different businesses, but its the same woman (very recognizable accent). She always asks if we are moving. I have been telling her we will not answer her calls and to please remove us from her list. Then she proceeds to tell me that she talked to "X" at my company and that "X" says it is very important that whoever answers the phone answer her questions. Except that I am "X"! So I know she is lying and I hate the fact that she is using my identity to try to get info from my company. I didn't know she was a scam the first time I talked to her - and unfortunately gave my name :(

Our business received a call (man) didn't give his name.  Said he heared that our company (new our name)  were moving.  We tried to get more info. but he hung-up.

i just received the exact same phone call,claiming to call from the State of Michigan and wanted to know if we found a place and when we were moving. WHY??

These people said they were from the "Virginia Business Development Office" and when I pressed them they said they were part of the state government.  They wanted to know if I was looking to move my office and as soon as I said no, she hung up on me.
