Text message from this number advertising a porn website (wap.mob365.net/...).
The language was offensive and specific. I would not want any child to receive such a message.

I have filed a complaint with ICO

In the past I have had numerous Service Messages advertising the same site. I finally looked up the domain name, found their contact details and sent an email quoting relevant legislation about e-marketing. I haven't had a Service message from them since, only this text.

I am absolutely fed up with getting these unwanted porn texts/emails on my mobile. I cannot see how to stop them and my phone provider Virgin say they cannot stop the number.

Usually you just have to return the message with the text STOP, but as for the service messages I am not sure cause as far as I can see there is no way to reply to them...

Would be helpful if Andrew could post the details of who he contacted reading the service messages so that people with the same problem can call them too...

I have had this number send me messages to my mobile on a number of occasions.  I've sent the STOP message and after about a week i got some more.  I sent another STOP message and again, after a week or so, got another.  This time i sent a STOP ALL message and after about 2 weeks started getting messages from 69700.  This is probably the same company but using different numbers so as to avoid grief from the ICO.
The problem with these text messages from this company or comapnies like it is that if you are a PAYG (pay as you go) phone user, you will be charged for each txt received.
I've now registered my number with TPS (Telephone Preference Service) to remove me from a list for cold calling and SMS advertising.  It takes about 28 days but is worth it.  http://www.tpsonline.co.uk/
Alternatively, you can get in touch with the company directly and vent your anger or frustration at them, and possibly get a refund.

it is what they call a 3rd party company, the company bills your mobile phone company who then have no choice but to pass on the charges - lodge a complaint and get the company details from phonepayplus.org

89069 sent me close to 55messages each one billing me £1.50. I sent 10 STOP ALL MESSAGES.  And it eventually stopped. It started by my phone freezing on the wap.365.net website, i was pressing my keypad, to shake the phone out of the freeze. And it entered the website, i downloaded nothing! I exited t website. But Soon the messages started. As i said over 55 messages, i.e, £75 bill.  Surely this is illegal as i did nothing wrong, but accidently access the website. Companies like this need to be shut down, forever.

My daughter has received three porn messages from 89069 and all orange does is tell me to contact the company involved and also recommended I changed my phone number, why can't they stop paying these companies then passing on the charges, it was a waste of my time setting up on the dolphin for £10 as I have now lost £4.50 off the account with no chance of being able to top up her phone until at least October. This is an appalling theft by both the phone company and the company involved.

I just received my bill and couldn't understand why I was being charged for texts as I have an unlimited bundle on my tariff. When I looked at the itemisation, I have been charged £1.50 for texts from 89069. I can vaugly remember receiving texts to do with porn but have never subscribed to anything on my mobile (porn or otherwise!) so haven't a clue how they got my number! What an absolute joke, how do these companies get away with this??!!

call 01494 750500 the operator will provide the details you need to stop the texts.  these people are the gateway for the people who use the shortcode text. also worth complaining to 0800 500212 the phone payplus regulator

Same as above.  Been getting for a while, but only just realized they were costing me due to contract.  £1.50 a shot.  No idea how signed up as never reply to or use premium rate numbers.

My other half has been receiving unsolicited texts from these fools as well. She's only just told me about them and it didn't take long to track them down.

Orange were little help, told her that they cannot bar all premium rate services to her phone like Vodafone and other network providers can.

    Raised complaint with http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk

I have just found out this has been happening to me. I have called WIN and am awaiting a return call from Rudetube. I am appalled! I can't believe this has happened. They have been sending me texts every week for the last 3 weeks and I am being charged £1.50 a time.
I can't believe Orange can't even block them!
Also complained to the Phone Pay Plus service for all the good it will do.
