Called and claimed I owed on a credit card (mastercard) ((never had one)) from 1998 at fidelity bank [never used that bank], $947.73 and they are willing to cut it in half by $427.76.

Asked about my last four digits of my social was correct.

First guy talked fast (was hustling) and said that the last payment was in 1999. Said they were with AGA and Associates - one persons name was Cassy Thompson (fast talker too). Said the payment plan would be $210.47.

Claimed I could do a check online to find them there if I didn't believe them. I will be calling the bank tomorrow (closed now)

This is the first time they've called.. I've gotten 2 other letters within 3 years for a debt I do not owe. Called the bank then and confirmed that I did not even have an account with them.

I did not agree to anything, just took down info for my report.

Beware of those claiming you owe on anything - especially if it's past the statute of limitations.
