my phone is out of order

I just got a call from this number.  No one answered, just intermittent static.

I got a call from this number as well and have done so periodically. For me, It is someone trying to reach me using a calling card number.

From another website, it seems this is a collections agency. I was polite at first but after telling the lady on the other end that I didn't know either of the people she was asking for, she became quite rude and requested a lot of personal information to 'get me off their list'. As if I was giving that out to any stranger who calls! I've only had this number for a month and a half now but it's getting really irritating.

What company is she collecting for? They need to know she is harassing innocent people.

Somebody just called me as well and left a voicemail. Static, then Deep heavy exhale-noise, and then repeat. Static, breath, repeat...

I just got a call from this number, and the lady on the other end spoke in Chinese. When I told her she got a wrong number, she hang up. One minute later, my husband who has a very similar phone number to mine (only the last digit is different) got the same call from the same person.

Very staticy, speaking giberrish. It was not chinese or japanese or any other east asian language...
Or language at all...
Even the most complex languages have some sort of way of stringing together without being entirely random.
Heavy breathing, she was upset that i didn't understand her... staticy, and I could hear traffic in the background.
Eventually I just hung up.
Tried to call back.
Phone hangs up the call immediately. Does not ring. Does not state line busy or disconnected. Does not state it's long distance or not. Does not state that the line cannot be reached from my dialing location.
Simple disconnects immediately upon connecting.

I received two calls about a minute apart from this number.

The first time I thought she was speaking Chinese or another language of some sort.  I thought she was asking for someone so I simply said I thought she had the wrong number and hung up.

A minute later she phoned back, sounded like she was screaming again in another language or something and I said that I didn't understand what she was asking and she hung up on me this time.

When I tried the number back I experienced the same disconnect.  No rings, no reason just doesnt go through at all.  I also found it very staticy and as if there was traffic in the back.... it was very strange and annoying!

Same number called me twice. She speaks Chinese and asks me which model of computer I use. I said I am busy and wud call back. When I call back it immediately disconnected. Very strange!

I'm happy to see I'm not the only person who has received a call from this number. I answered and a chinese lady asked me if I spoke chinese, I said no, she then spoke to me in chinese and asked me again if I spoke it. I hung up. I searched the number and it apparently belongs to 'Contact Resource Services' 411 gave me the number :4428588 for them... On the 0700 I get a busy signal, on this 8588 I get a recording saying that the 'voicemail is full'. I'm going to look into this further, and will post again if I can find anything more out!

Got a call from this number as well. voicemail was a heavy sigh and a hangup. called back from work phone and get an instant disconnect.

very weird. sounds exceptionally fishy. In Halifax as well.

Haha yeah its some crazy chinese lady.. i didnt understand a single word.

This number called my cell 47 times in 8 hours!! They left no message and could not be called back.I called my provider who told me there is a place on the Roger's web site that allows some subscribers to block calls. Ironically while speaking to Rogers on a land line yesterday, this number called my cell. The caller hung up on me when I told him never to call again. However, they identified themselves as:
U.S. Online America Group L.L.C. 1-800-237-9354. They are a solication company for people who want to work from home.

I called this number and eventually spoke to someone who said my number would be removed from their list.
