I don't normally answer calls from numbers I don't recognize anymore, but the caller ID intrigued me.  I received this call at 6:40pm asking for someone that hasn't had my phone # for 5 years.  Said they were not a collection agency but looking for donations...   I hung up.

Received a call today - August 8, 2013 at 8:40 AM requesting a donation for women fighting breast cancer. When she asked if I could donate $40 and I said no she disconnected the call.

Uses your first name as if they know you.  Is a scam telemarketer for about 15 different so called charities.  Once you donate (as we did the first time). They keep calling back with different charity names and act like they know you.   Saw a tv show on this kind of boiler room scheme and very little if any money goes to charity

Had a call from these low life jerks and I played an answering machine message that told them what I think of scammers. They naturally hung up at the part where I called them low life scum bags. Anyone who gives money to them are the fools that keep them in business. They take advantage of poor dummies with giving hearts. Please do NOT be suckered into giving them a single penny.

Unsolicited telephone solicitation on behalf of a so-called Breast Cancer Fund.

This is not a bogus charity. This is an investigating firm that poses as Breast Cancer Society just to confirm that YOU live there, so you cannot claim not being properly served in court. They don't want your money, but if you use your credit card from that address they are calling to, that will be extra, incontestable evidence you live there.

This was not our experience....claims to be various charities and once you give the your name...they continue to call. It is a telemarketer for numerous charities that actually get very little of the money.  The owners were exposed in Orlando on tv.  Has nothing to do with any legal concerns..

It is illegal to falsely pose as a charity for any reason. The breast cancer society in Mesa.AZ hires phone banks to make these calls and the BBB has found that approximately 99% of the money is used to pay the fundraisers in this type of "charity" and pay near nothing to actual charities.

I get calls from them all the time..  Breast Cancer is what they say they're begging money for.  I have asked and asked to be taken off their list but they hang up on you if you even remotely act as if you aren't going to give them money.  They're scammers!!!

I keep a CD in my stereo cued up to a rocking song.  When I get one of these calls, I take the phone over to the stereo, hold it right up against a speaker with the volume WAY up,  and blast them with it.  Hope they enjoy my taste in music!

You must have a lot of creditors, huh?  Or are you just paranoid?  They called me, and I don't owe anybody any money, so your statement is BS.

So why are they calling me?  Nobody is trying to serve me with court papers.  Do you have a good reason to be suspicious?

This # calls all the time. Today they called before 9am on a Saturday. I don't know anyone in the 904 area code, so I don't pick up. They never leave a message.

The woman read from a cue card. When I tried to talk toher she got very nasty with me. That does not sound like a real organization to me. Breast cancer services sounds like a scam. I hit the redial button  and guess what the "mail box" was full. I give local in my community to organizations I trust.

You are absolutely correct, this is not a charity, This number is associated with one or more debt collectors. You can find proof in the call logs. Shortly after a 904-297-3115 'Breast Cancer S' call a call will follow from a known debt collector number. You might also get a call from 'Unavailable 1' within the same narrow time frame. They are debt collectors using subtrefuge to try and get you to confirm your identity. The address listed on the old charged off accounts they've bought and are trying to intimidate you into paying is not current and they're trying to find you. You should never answer, but if you do never confirm of even imply you're the person they're asking for.
