These scammers call every few months or so saying that I'm going to be arrested if I don't send them my "bail" money.  They come with the ruse of being a collection agency, though a company name is never spoken.  Not to mention the fact that stating that someone is going to jail if they don't pay on a debt is a direct violation of US collection practice laws.  Idiots.

These people think someone is as dumb as they are.

Neighbor received a call from the number stating below and the  man said they were looking for my husband who has demintia. Told the person they called that he had a bad check and they were from the State's Attorney's office. The person they called had an answering machine that had answered the call however she picked up the phone and talked with th'e man. The answering machine did not cut off and it is all on te is looking for ape. He stated he was with the State's Attorney's office on the tape and tells all about this person what he is looking for this person for. She told him she did not know the man. The lady came and found me and told me about the call. The number was not from a State's Attorney and if I can find who did the call, I will turn it over to an attorney for help in the matter.

Someone from this company called a person about 6 blocks away and said they were lookiing for my husband who has dementia. They told the woman they were from the "State's Attorney's Office" and that he had a bad check and was going to be arrested for it. The man gave her the street address and lots more information on him after telling her he was from the States Attorney.s Office. She got concerned and came and found us and told us what happened and gave me the phone number. When I called back to the number, the lady that answered stated that she was the reception lady and this was a 10 story building and she had no idea who had called. I told her I wanted the State's Attorney's Office as that was what the lady had been told when she received the call. I was told someone would called me within the hour. I had no idea this was a scam but the State's Attorney's office has been informed and asked to look into this phone number and the place of business.

This number is calling my job repeated, along with my mother and my sell phone saying that they are from ACT and that I am going to be arrested if I don't pay my debt. They call repeatedly, and leave messages and call my job and leave messages. They will not sent me verification of my account on paper, only tell me if I don't pay by 4:00 today, they are going to release it to my county as a worthless check and i will be arrested for fraud!!!!

This number 904-647-9334 called our office, even gave her name 'Stephanie' from the check and fraud company and cited a case number!!! Of course we will not take seriously and hope others will check before making a call back to them.

I talk to a miss long today and cleared a check for those of you taking them as a joke it is a real company and once you pay they do send proff of that and also contact the lender and show that youve cleared your check with them.

A huge scam....don't let them scare you. My daughter fell for it and gave them over $700. Our credit card is now researching this. They threatened to have my daughter picked up and put in jail if she did not pay a past due debt (which she had in fact paid years ago).
