Called the number back and automated answer system that doesnt give a company name.

second call from them today.

They must be some type of debit collection company noone else is that much of a pain

alright this time the automated message left more of a message on the vm this time.  It is a collection aggency for cap one.

it again left a NON contact compliancy blurb and then left a number to reach them at 1-877-295-9639  which is a cap one collections.

Same as above. Obviously a debt collector looking for someone named Christopher Wag.... when I said I didn't know Chris Wag.... he yelled at me that I obviously did since I said this persons name like I knew him. I said I just repeated what you said. I just got this phone number 1 month ago with a new cell. I am a lady and obviously not Christopher Wag.....

He said he would call back and speak to someone more cooperative. Well I am the only one with access to this number, so good luck buddy. I think he said his name was Greg Reaves but wouldn't tell me what company he was calling from.

I call them back using the Gmail phone app, which shows up as being from California and also a 1-800 number.

First, I tell them the call is being recorded, secondly until they identify themselves by Caller ID AND verbally in the messages they leave, no response that will amount to anything.

Doing this does a few things:

A) They don't know who I am
B) Perhaps if enough people did it, at least they would identify themselves

I don't mind responding to legitimate issues, I will not respond to anyone trying to hide who they are.

I have filed a complaint again this number with https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng. I have received 15 calls from them in the last month and some before 8am.

I received several calls from these guys..
When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

recording said "please hold while I connect you" repeated twice then another message "sorry I could not connect you, I'll try again later"  then called again 5 minutes later.. this happens EVERY SINGLE DAY.  I can never speak to anyone so I have no idea who it is.

Whoever he was he was, the recording is rude as hell. I tracked it down and I believe its for the 407 ETR in Toronto. Bad business practice for sure. Going to pay the bill and call to remind them how ignorant they were.

WOW they are trying to get sneaky.......LMAO  They leave a message with NO NAME of whom they are looking for....or of WHO IS CALLING.  They almost make it sound like you have won something or something good will happen if you call this number LOL

This number left a automated message saying:

We are trying to reach you today to discuss a EXCITING OPTION only available for the next 24hrs.  Call us back Immediately  at 1 877-295-9639 to speak with a licensed representative.  

Why does every bill collector in the always seem to think they need to say IMMEDIATELY in the message.......reallllllly??  Do you think i respond well to being told what to do especially when you say IMMEDIATELY to me lol  come on now!

This people call a million times for dome one named mohammed. Mohammed must not have paid his bills cause they call a million times even though I have called them to tell them to take my number off their phone list.

Tried to get personal info, I asked who it was, reply Affloe re business matter.  When I refused to give info & they refused to tell me what it was about I ended call
