MJR -  they usually call from various phone numbers

MJR - I told this guy last week I would settle with them and he refused to even listen to the rest of what I had to say.  I told him that he didn't accept my offer, that I would NEVER take another call from them again, which I do not intend to.
The collection laws in Canada state that they have 2 years to collect from the last payment you made.  If you pay them one dime, that 2 years starts all over again. It has been 2 years this month for me.  Another 5 years and this is off my credit.  I can wait.  They have already done as much damage to my credit as they can.
If you are the type of person who cannot just ignore them, go to the CRTC website or call them and make a harassment claim.  Also, since they give a disclaimer that the call may be recorded, you have the right to record them as well to prove the harassment.  Just an FYI

This company keeps calling my daughters phone and asking for a gentleman we do not know at all. Asked them to remove the number from their caller list 3 different times. Was treated very rudely and they hung up on me the last time I asked for it to be removed.

MJM caller sends out a letter to people they are looking to collect money from whom they believe are responsible for fraud based on the bank records even though the person they look for is the victim the banks still accuse the victim of the fraud and demand that they have to pay up. They issue 10 days for a response to threaten further action. If no action is taken, they want to further to get the money. This is common for the common collections also because they do the same thing, but none of these collection agencies care to accept the fact that the victim should be held accountable for the fraud that another person really is responsible for. The banks also are accountable because they do not catch the fraud before it happens and claim afterwards that the victim should have known. The bank actually knows when there is a possible chance of fraud, but will not tell you. They purposely do these things. They are not interested to prevent fraud from happening. They just blame the victim for falling trap and even when they seek negotiate payment they expect it done there way. The bank requires two full payments, but collections may ask for several, but if the victim is not the one that committed fraud they should not be accountable to pay collections.

Sad part is if the police are unable to find sufficient evidence to help the victim to be free from a fraud case. It is so with fraud cases overseas where people there use cash transactions. These fraud scams use moneygram or similiar money transfers or will use counterfeit deposits and counterfeit cheques. They can even disguise themselves as a company. The banks are away that the scams happen, but do nothing to prevent it. They really do not care about their clients as they say that they do.

They called me from this number never ever had a call from them and they left msg sayin they have been tryin to reach me for several months now and I just called back asking what is this regardin and they said what it was about but I have a letter from them stating I owe nothing and they are sayin I owe them money in overdraft they said to give them my date of birth and mailing address etc and I told them again I have a letter sayin I cleared everything up and it's at zero dollars I owe em and they are so rude and honestly shouldn't treat people that way. Now I gotta see if it's on my credit great...

They are looking for someone named aaron beer............He does not live here..............I am really tired of these [***] calling me....How did they even get this number to make the effort

who is this person??? IT IS ANNOYING!!! I kept receiving their calls for MONTHS! Even after I blocked, they still leave an automated voice message! how to solve this??

They call from several numbers multiple times a day. It's annoying. They harass people.

They keep calling here for my wife who passed away last January,   I already told them  this, and to call Equifax to verify. They don't care to do a little work and still keep phoning me anyways. Time to call a lawyer and shut them down

Same here, told them not the person they looking for, they hung up and kept calling

sounds like a troll, must have gotten name and number off of some type of list, probably off the internet ?
