909-259-5564 is a large Marketing company called "Horizon Marketing" that does Internet and phone marketing.  They probably got your phone number from Wal Mart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Kohl's or any number of other large national accounts where you paid with a cxredit card and the clerk asked you for a phone number.  You are NOT required to give your phone number or any other personal information when you do business with a large national vendor and use your personal credit card.  They all ask you for it, and this is where it goes.  Horizon marketing buys your credit score and other personal information that is available nationally to target you for other accounts.  DO NOT participate in any of the phone surveys that follow this acquistion of your phone number and end by asking you for personal information like your race, age and the range of your annual income!!!

I hate people who call me I do not know try to sell or want something!

Why does this marketing company feel that they can call my number that I have submitted to the Do-Not-Call list? Isn't this the exact reason why we signed up in the first place? If they are violating the law how can we report them?

It seems that lately we have been receiving many calls that usually show either "Name Unavailable" or "800 Service" or some political reference like "District of Columbia" in the caller ID with a phone number that can not be traced because it is either not in the US or it is a forged number of some kind. This has become a BIG nuisence.

Unfortunately the Do Not Call list is a joke. I filed a complaint and received a letter from the FCC basicallly admitting so. These companies have paid off so many Politicians that the "Law" has no teeth.

Horizon Marketing using a robodialer that hangs up if it hears a voice. When you call back it says that you are contacted because of a telemarketting oppertunity and to press 1 to get put on their do not call and press 2 to contact someone. Pressing 2 is a full box and pressing 1 does nothing.

Reported to the BBB hopefully something happens to this company since they are violating federal law

Received an unsolicited and unwanted call from 909-259-5564 Horizon Marketing just now.
All of our numbers are on the Do Not Call List. Stop calling!

Michael, Thanks for your posting.   Caller ID said "Horizon Marketing" with this phone number.   I didn't answer but check out the number in google.   Your post has great advise and I appreciate you taking the time to post all that you did.   909 259 5564 did leave a message on my voice maild which I deleted.  Thanks again.

These people called me, I' on the Do Not Call list. Do not call me ever I have a life and if I wanted to buy from you I would have. So screw off do not call me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ID now shows Exchange Student, hung up when machine picked up.  Since the companies make $ selling service to these marketing pimps, solution may be class action suit forcing phone companies to be liable when violations occur and they do nothing. Even their own ACR service does not work!  Will try to force legal action against this scammer myself and make them pay.

I got this a call from this number and they hung up right away (machine?) and not more than 2 minutes later I got a call from 714-994-2620 Buena Park, CA (which from research is also some scam)  so maybe they were trying to figure out if someone was home.

Caller ID came up as EXCHNGE STUDENT. I let it go to vmail and they didn't leave a message.

I got the same call and it went into voice mail, but no message was sent.  My caller ID was EXCHANGE STUDENT also.  I called back and got a recording advising me that I was selected for a telemarketing call.  Press 1 to be removed from their list.  I did so and they asked for my 10 digit number.  I keyed it and the system said it would be removed within 72 hours.  Lets see if they keep their word.

The Caller ID says "Exchange Student." The recorded message asks if I want to host an exchange student, press 2 if I don't want to be called again. This sounds really bogus.

The BBB is a joke.  File a complaint with the FTC since they are doing business across state lines.  Only the government can stop this.

I also got the call with Exchange Student.  I am on Do Not Call List.  We must remember that the top 5 leaders in the FCC were the ones found watching porn on their computers 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.  Media investigations found they are still in their same positions, same pay, same benefits.  When you tell a telemarketer that you are on the Do Not Call list they just laugh and tell you there are no longer any repercussions for calling and have not been since March of 2009.  Do you think this could be why the Do Not Call List no longer works?
