Got a voice mail from this number wanting to discuss my resume. Apparently Career Builders has started forwarding it to scam companies. The number belongs to "American Income" and a quick Google search reveals numerous hits for scam operations and even Nigerian 419 email spam.

Beginning to think trying to use Career Builders to find work was a bad idea. It doesn't look like legit companies use their services :(

Received an email that this company AIL/Dimitrova @ this phone number with an address of
1074 Park View Dr. Covina, CA.  91724 Suite 203, well googled phone number and found the previous email.  They stated my phone number did not load properly and wanted me to send it to them regarding a job and that they have been trying to reach me.  

Let me tell you, if someone is trying to reach me I am available via email as well as cell phone every minute of the day because I need to work.  

I am so tired of all the scams surfacing.  It really makes me mad that I have to waste my time and check who this is and find it a scam......

I only hope all these people that think job seeking is a joke, that someday they don't have one (a Job) and the same is done to them.  If CareerBuilder is taking just anybody who claims they have a business it's obvious they are just as bad...........I will remove my resume from this site.....

American Income at 1074 ParkView Drive in Covina, CA has called me twice now stating they got my info from Career Builder.  I told them the 1st time I'm not interested, but they called again today with the same info they told me last time as if it were a legit job.

I have also rec'd a message, but am unable to speak with anyone when I called back.  This is the 2nd time they have called.  The way their voice mail is set up and how you can never speak with an actual person is a little discouraging.  Seems like a fake company.

I received an email from AIL/Dimitrova as well, stating that my phone number did not load properly in the resume I had posted on Career Builder. I have no idea if they have tried to call me, since I am currently living in Europe and not the States, but this is the email I got:

Dear Applicant,

One of our Hiring Directors has been trying to contact you regarding your resume you have posted on one of the job sites we work with (Monster, Hot Jobs, Career Builder). However, your phone number did not load properly onto the resume. If you are still seeking a full-time position we would like to hear from you. Please reply with your phone number and we will be sure the H.R. manager gets back to you at the earliest possible time.

Okay - If this so called person has been trying to contact me, but my number didn't load on the resume to begin with, then how could they even try to contact me int he first place? Second, the person who emailed me did not state their name, their position, and the company they hold said position with, nor what position they would like to interview me for. Those two MAJOR issues is what makes the whole thing seem like a scam.

Moreover, if you google map the address, it is located near a corrections department.

Just got a call today from actually two different companies ONE called
- AMERICAN INCOME - they (a girl named Wendy) said they  manage benefits and union stuff
and they asked me have i ever managed someone im like no..
she said well no problem "u sound like a good potential manager" come on down to our office for a interview tomorrow 12/21/11 @ 10:30 am..and bring a resume with you oh and dress professionally this is an office (as if someone going to a freaking interview would not know that right) anyways...right away i researched them online just by typing in the stupid name AMERICAN INCOME all this complaints of scams and stuff came out...
they wanted me to go to 1074 Park View Drive # 203 - Covina, CA 91724 and the # they called me from was (626) 888-5395

the SECOND call i got today was another guy named Scott Eaton (had a English or Irish accent) same scenario and position actually Accounts manager they wanted me to got to BREA this time around located at  3350 E. Birch St # 200 - Brea, CA 92821   and the # they called me from was (714) 234-0054 ...i again looked them up online same crap....SCAM SCAM all over the place so unless ur [***] then go its all a pyramid scam ....

When I was younger I got sucked into one for some stupid internet thing I lost $300 and all it was was meetings doing the same [***] saying the same crap just to different suckers...each time and they paint it all good ur gona make this amount of $$$ bla bla bla...just pay this amount right now and bring 3-5 people in and then have those people bring another and etc etc...thats how they brain wash u that is all it comes down to brain washing...

***NOTE: I have since DELETED my phone # from careerbuilder i dont want to keep receiving stupid fake job offers like that and then going thru the hassel of changing my # that ive had for so long**
also beware they are doing the same thing thru email...so if they have any links or anything that look weird...pls pls pls DO NOT CLICK ON THEM they are probably viruses that are gona steal all ur info and fk up ur computer

Actually we do have contracts with career builder your phone number would have been called if your resume had one. there are people trying to make an actual difference in helping unemployed californians out. before you ruin the opportunity i challenge you to actually attend the interview instead of complaining about bogus "scams"!!!

Again I have a contract with CareerBuilder/Monster and if your resume does not have a phone number then i have the HR send you that email. if you are no an active seeker in the job market we apologize but if you are i challenge you to come into my office i am here at 730am- 530pm and would love to show you what we do i can guarantee you might have a change of heart if you didn't let "google" get the best of you. if you are for my offer i can respect that if not why ruin an opportunity?

Oh really?  My resume has my phone numbers (cell and home) on it and yet I received the email saying my phone number did not load.  Still sounds like a load of scam to me.

I looked into the BBB and this is a legit company. It is accredited by the BBB with the headquarters in Texas having an A+ rating. Totally legit. The address is also correct. Just letting everyone know. It is a life insurance company.

I received a phone call from a woman named Valarie this afternoon and scheduled an interview for Wednesday, 6-27-12. I am suppose to meat with Alex and based on these reviews and the further information I received from my very intelligent, reliable father, I am going to cancel my interview with them tomorrow morning.
