Just received a message on my machine from "Steven Gellar" from 909-366-5733 (a thick Indian accent, by the way) which stated he worked for the "Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury" and there is "an action against you." He also stated we should have our "legal attorney" call him back.

Received the same call yesterday at 1pm Msdt

same call yesterday - identified himself as Andy Potter Dept of Legal Affairs.  we live in New Mexico - not sure how far this scam reaches

Said his name was Shawn Anderson from Dept. of Legal Affairs.  Would not tell me what it was regarding, just asked for my  husband to call him back.  Sounds like a scam to me.

This number called my parents home today. He knew their address. Also "Steve Gellar" from the treasury dept. My dad said he sounded Filipino. Told him I would be arrested if I didn't call him back. I knew from my Nextdoor app that it's a scam.

Same - message left on my home phone and they did know my name. I didn't catch the name of the caller, but she sounded East Indian. Also said she was from the Dept of Legal Affairs and that I should call because there were enforcement actions against me. I didn't return the call to get any other details.

Just received a message from "Mike Peterson" (with a heavy Indian accent). claiming to be from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. He said something about an imposement action, but I couldn't really understand him.

It's a scam, the other phone numbers they use are 909-589-1155, 209-024-5698 and 209-803-4954 all claiming to be US Dept of Treasury.  I did go to the USDT and file a complaint listing the numbers, but they just get new numbers.  I find what really discourages them from calling back is blowing a whistle really loudly into the phone, then hanging up.  Haven't called back since.

Recieved a call from a man with an Indian accent. He knew my name, asked if I was that person. He said that he was from the State of Affair dept and that there was a legal caae aginst me. As soon as I said that he was'nt home, can I take a message he hung up.

Andy Parker called from legal affairs said that I should have my lawyer call him back.

Got a call from the same number on Friday, May 1st.  Caller said his name was Adam Roger and there was a legal action against my husband.  He said something (the message wasn't clear) about calling back to avoid a legal mess.  We live in San Diego.  So glad  you have this website so I can hear from other people that it's a scam.

Received same call Friday  Claimed Matt Petersen Indian accent  HE stated in message could cause a big legal mess and have blessed day.  Not something you would expect from Government agency

Got this call too from Andy (didn't  understand last name)stating you should have  your legal counsel  call to avoid a big legal mess and have a blessed day.  Also a very thick, possibly  Indian, accent.

The same number called today with the same story. There was a case against my husband. He claimed his name was David Johnson.  LOL I laughed at him. Again, a very thick, heavy indian accent with the name David Johnson. I asked him for his number at his desk and he didn't know it. I hung up on him, I vaguely remember this scam from a while ago.

Received a call from "Stephen Geller"... pretty unlikely name for someone who had trouble speaking English. If there is any legal action being taken against you, you would know it. You wouldn't become informed by some weirdo calling from a different state threatening you. I tried calling the number back because I wanted to threaten this [***] and see how he likes it, but I could not get through - go figure.
