I got a call from this number too. They hung up when I answered. When I called back it just rang, no voicemail picked up.

Just like a previous report, when I answered the phone, they asked for 'Helen' and when I said 'speaking' they hung up. There was alot of background chatter, like it was a phone center.

Same as Roger, after 3 rings, hung up. Left no message. White pages reverse said it came from Fayetteville, NC. I'm about 40 miles away.

Received a call but they didn't leave a message. Shows up on caller ID as "North Carolina"

Got the same call, at 2pm on the dot. Answered and no one was there. Called back it was busy, called again and it kept ringing with no answer.

Got a call from 910 354 1795 July 7, 2010 at 2:55 pm.  Male voice said it was the North Carolina Firefighters .  Lots of background chatter.  Probably soliciting funds.

WOW This is so weird. Just like "mike" the call came in at 2pm on the dot. A male voice said"and you answered..." Then hung up. Creepy. I never tried calling the number back. I did a look up on yellowpages, says its from Fayetteville NC, a Land Line

Theyr'e still at it apparantly, got a call at 12:38pm Sunday 7/25/2010.  Silence on the other end.  But about 30 minutes before as I was leaving I saw an unknown man standing in my next door neighbor's yard talking on a cell phone when he noticed me watching he moved from the yard to the street.  I drove around the block and he was still there.  Could someone be "scoping out" the neighborhood for break-ins, calling to be sure no one is home?

I think that your a bit paranoid. really. Lots of others have received a call from this number, including myself. I just don't answer calls from ANY number/name I don't know or recognize. It solves my problems of having to deal with someones idiocy. The guy was probably waiting for a ride or something. What you need to feel safe is an alarm system, dogs and a couple of weapons(shotgun/handgun/ and a knife within reach of the bed and doors) I tell ya It makes me feel a bit more secure. no one would get within 10 feet of us in this house without being seriously injured. Also usually if a thief is smart enough to call you before they break in, to make sure that no one is there, they will not be stupid enough to use their cell phones and walk around so that just anyone can see them. They usually dont care if someone is home or not, hence the word CRIMINAL.

I received a call from this number, when I answered there was just silence and then they hung up!

this number is on my caller ID and they hang up when I answer.  I tried calling it back and it disconnects after a few rings.

They closed the phone on me too

I have also received numerous "hang up" calls from this number. However today i was in a back room cleaning when this number called.( It always seems to call at times you would be gone to pick children up from school or something like that.) I walk to the front to answer the phone and another hang up. Then I look outside and see 3 vehicles pulling away from my house. A white sedan, red truck and an unknown. It unfortunately happened too fast for me to see the third. Do not dismiss  the reports of people watching you. i have had a group of people watching my house for a few months now and This number seems to be an ongoing "prank or hang up".

This makes the third or fourth time they have called me.  I called back and the line was busy.  I tried again and it rang and rang.  I answered it at first and said "hello"..they just hung up.  It comes up as Fayetteville, NC on my caller ID.

nobody speaks when I answer, and when I try to call back the recording acts as if it is long distance

I was standing at the door waiting for the mailman at 120pm today. I live at the end of an empty cul de sac. There were 2 strange vehicles just sitting down 30 yds away...strange being, that nobody ever comes down here, let alone park. When I came in, this number was calling me. They hung up, and now I'm blowing their phone up calling them back.
