I called back. It's from some College Resource Hotline, purporting to be a resource to help you obtain a college degree. I had already put myself on their "do not call" list when they called from a different number. I won't be doing that again, as it seems that doing that validates that mine is a live number.

They called my direct dial at work, asked for me, never introduced themselves name or company name, talked like they were from the ghetto and said "you still looking to go to school?"  when i asked who this was they hung up.

Calls on my cell phone at all hours of the night. Its a telemarketing company for college education. 9 calls in the past 5 days. Anyone know how to stop this?

Has started calling on 3/17/10 - calls every other day until 3/22.  Now it calls 2x a day.  What a PITA.

This company needs to hire "grown ups" I would settle for folks with basic phone manners. i have been receiving calls for several days and last night answered and once I told the man i was already in school he said thank you and hung up. You would think that would have been it, but no way, first of all upon answering my phone the man sounded "weird" as if he was
1.Afraid to speak on the phone
2. As if he had something in his mouth paralyzing his ability to form proper sentences.
Fast forward today, it is now about 5pm, the same company has called 3 times already.
I just logged on to the site given by "Say what- from the above thread) hopefully that will stop further harassment...

7 or 8 calls in the past 4 days, finally answered tonight - someone said "hello" after I said hello and then hung up.  it sounded like a young black male. will definitely NOT put my number in that website, since it seems like it might just prove it's an active number.  whatever, I planned on changing my number anyway.  out of curiosity, anyone here go to kaplan university online?  I'm thinking they sold my number to them....

Not happy with this interrupting my work line and then hanging up! Telemarketers just trying to log calls in and pretend their working is my assumption. Do not call list, I guess is the only way to get ride of them.

I don't know how they got my number but I'm guessing it was from my resume from applying online for jobs! I live in california and that is a new york area code from a land line near the bronx!...its a scam, probably trying to get ur personal information...dont ever put ur ss# on anything online unless u know the company! Don't ever put ur references on ur resume...put, references upon request!

They have called endlessly and never speak. What a waste of my time and resources for the organization who has employed them. No idea why a company would continue to employee people who are obviously unemployable elsewhere...

These f*ckers have been calling me all day. Not only that, but they're too [***] to even hang up the phone. I have two voice mails in which there is clearly some background noise and in one there is a black male talking to some giggling woman about how I did not answer the phone. Oh really? Call again and see what happens. :)
