Indian guy called this morning from this number telling me he could reduce my phone bill.  Said his name was Mike  - what has happened to all the traditional Indian names?
Why should someone call from USA telling me he can reduce the cost of a BT phone bill...?

I gotten a call from this guy from India and he was babbling something about my computer.  I told him I know this is a scam and to place this number on the do not call list.

Guy form India, i assume, just called my house saying he was getting a warning from a program I don't even have on my computer. As soon as I mentioned a law suit, he hung the phone up. If it's a 914-345-8002 number...it's bullcrap...caller ID says Lewis, Carl

Got a call saying certified Microsoft technician, very thick Indian accent and very noisy in background. Said he could tell my computer was downloading bad files. I asked him what IP address he showed. He spouted off something similar to an IP address but it was incomplete. I think he got frustrated from my questioning and bad connection, and finally hung up on me. Called my cell number.

Guy with thick Indian accent called saying some of my windows programs were not working. He said he was a microsoft representative. I told him no such thing was happening. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me he would not let me because I was saying he was lying. I said well maybe your supervisor can rectify that. Told me no and than just hung on the line until I hung up. Caller Id says Lewis, Carl and the number was 1-914-345-8002
DON'T FALL FOR THIS, IT IS A SCAM!

THIS IS A SCAM!!!  Said my computer sent my phone number over the internet and something about my Windows software. I basically told the man I have a computer science degree and he was full of *****. Be nice if people like this would fall of the face of the earth.

Caller ID said Carl Lewis, but I could not understand what was said.  One person was on and then another.  I told them that they were full of [***] and hung up.

Some Punjab icehole tells me Microsoft has received complaints about my computer.  So I asked him why he's calling me on the phone?  Even the FBI uses email.  No good answer for that one. He hung up.  Feel free to use that one.

Just received a call from a man said his name was Alex, caller ID said Lewis Carl, telling me something was wrong with my computer it was giving warning signs and wanted my numbers.  I told the man my computer has been off for days and he said it was still doing it I just told him I don't think so and hung up!

I have been receiving calls from both a man and woman from this number.  Both have very heavy East Indian accents.  They state they are from "Microsoft" and calling about a computer virus that my computer is infected with. They try to get information from me, without success.  I ask to have my number removed from their database. The woman hangs up on me.  The next day the man calls me from the same number.  I ask to speak to his supervisor, he tries to divert me by asking questions, e.g "do I not like him?!"  I ask for the supervisor more than five times before he explodes at me, yelling that he "will call me EVERY SINGLE DAY!"  Then he says to "wait and he will get his supervisor", then he counts to three and hangs up on me!  So...I hope they are getting as tired of this game as I am.  I reported the phone number to the Federal Trade Commission and I will do it EVERY SINGLE TIME they call me. (Just in case they read this post.)

Yup Carl Lewis 914 345 8002 called me just now. I asked him to take me off his call list and he asked for a reason. I told him I didn't want anything he was selling. He said this wasn't a sales call that he had important information about my computer. I said thanks and hung up.

Hope they shut down whatever scam these people are up too.

Received call at 1:57 on 9/30 from a man with thick Indian accent. Number and name on caller id was 914-345-8002 Carl Lewis. Said he was with my technical department and that I had a security issue reported with my computer. Told him well that's funny since I don't have a computer - how is that possible? He kept trying to tell me that it was my computer. I kept telling him I don't own a computer, isn't my IP address [whatever numbers he was spouting] and isn't my provider [whatever he said]. Told him again I don't have a computer, I don't have internet, it couldn't be me. He then yelled at me that I was lying and that the security issue was going to cause me issues because it was allowing others to access my stuff, steal my money, use my IP for illegal purposes such as posting child porn. I must admit, at first I was really concerned and baffled, but as it went on, I realized that this had to be some kind of a scam.

I went over to a friend's house to use their computer to look this number up and after seeing the things posted here decided to report the call.

Man calls (yup - name on caller id is Carl Lewis and phone number is 914-345-8002) and tells me in a very thick Indian accent that my computer is sending out messages to microsoft that are revealing private account information.  He keeps getting more and more irate as when I keep repeating, "what?"  Finally he thinks to ask, "is your computer on?"  When I tell him "no," he tells me to "turn it on" and that he will "walk me through the process."  When I try to call the number back, it just rings (that's okay...I got lots of time) and then goes to nothing.  No answer, no voice mail, no nothing.  Like the gentleman posted earlier, I've ALREADY REPORTED THIS to the BBB, FCC and the local police department.  I'm not the only one.  Better stop or you WILL BE BUSTED!

I got a call from someone with a very thick accent. The name on caller id is Carl Lewis and phone number is 914-345-8002. He was babbling something about my computer! I couldn't understand him and asked that he NOT call here again. Then I tried to call that number. It rang and rang. Then, there was a digital sounding v.mail but no way to leave a message!

I got 2 calls today from 1 (914) 345-8002, Lewis , Carl.  Claiming to be from Windows tech support, this is a scam. Please do not fall for this!

Kept the guy talking while I looked up the name of his "company" on google, which was "Opton". He was saying he could get me some phone bill discount. It all sounded really dodgy so I hung up. And now I read this page my instincts are confirmed. I am sick of this crap.
