This is a government office phone number and I am receiving spam calls from 9145130443.

I just read a message stating that it's a government state office. Wow wow why would somebody be using the government phone, to scam people? If this is true our gov need to screen there workers. I personally feels its someone who has some kind of device set up in there home that can do this I don't know what but with all the tech equipment today who to say what's out there I'm not tech smart just learning computers but there are those who are so who to say what going on with this generation of tech PayPal or it from an office building who knows this world is so evil computers was supposed to make life easier n better they have mad it unsafe and more difficult to live well its not the computers it the people using them has mad the world and unsafe place the has mad life easier but people has mad it harder

I got a call from this number at 11:30 this morning. I was at work so the voicemail picked it up. They left no message on the voicemail. They company that called was Portfolio Recovery Debt Collector. Why are they calling me? How did they get my number and it is unlisted. Thisis not the first time they called they also called from 412-282-1422,4073476414. They just want give up.

You don't give up either.  You ought to find out why they are calling you and tell them to stop contacting you.  I have been dealing with these guys myself and what a bunch of harrassing people they are.  I am using letter on her to get them off our back. http://creditmania.com

I also just received a call from this place saying a owed a certain amount from last year.  I never heard of this place and I never even had a bill for the amount they are quoting me as my bills are always paid on time.  She said it had to be paid in full, so I told her I would talk to my lawyer.  Said if I can afford a lawyer I can pay they bill.  Told her I'm not paying for something that's not mine! and hung up.   Sounds like this is a scam.  How do you get rid of them?

They are a debt collector and they buy old non paid accounts from other companies like say sears, j c pennys, capitol one or other credit card companies these can be bills from 20 years ago, ones that you think should be off your credit but they have sold the accounts for pennies on the dollar and if they can't collect they will sell to another out sourc company. They want stop.

They called about my Capital One account. I never had an account?

My husbands Identity was used in 2000 to open a capital one acct and a jcpenny acct. when we found out about this we filed the police report and showd that he was not in the United States at the time the cards were used nor had we ever been to Miami FL. Both companies resolved the issues and removed it from his credit. As of Oct.2011 this company started calling us. no matter what we say they continue to call wanting him to give his social and other info so they can "research" the case they claim. How do I get them to stop.

These people are bill collectors and when when I tell them they have the wrong number that this is a brand new number and to stop calling they wont, they want my name and personal info YEAH RIGHT!! very annoying.  I think they have a machine that calls and then hangs up multiple times per day just to see when you are home.

Portfolio Recovery is a scam. They told me there were calling about a phone bill at a house I had not lived in for about 10 years. The first time I spoke to Portfolio Recovery I was patient. After telling them I had not lived at this address for 10 years, they tried to get me to pay anyway to  "protect my credit" this is nothing more than a scam. They have called about 20 times since offering me terms. Terms on a debt of less than $200. But most important on a debt I never owed in the first place. Now, I just hang up on them or tell them to take me to court where I will countersue.

Portfolio Recovery calls me from hundreds of different phone numbers looking for Randolph Lee, whoever the hell that is.  I keep telling them I don't know who the hell Randolph Lee is and the person politely lies to me and says they have removed my number then they keep calling.

I don't want to do a cease and desist letter because I don't want them tying the number, and then someone else's debt to my name.

I continue to get calls from this number. I ask them to stop calling and they continue talking even AFTER I say I am not interested. What is so aggravating is that I have had about 7 calls and I have only had this number 2 weeks.

They call my phone numerous times during the day when I am working and they call my cell phone. When I see who it is, I just ignore it because they call from hundreds of different numbers. They call my cell phone numerous times but they don't leave messages and they start calling from 8am until 9:30pm. It is getting to the point that I want to change my number so badly and when I have answered them in the past, they claim that I have an outstanding bill. I tell them that I don't then they get pissed off and threaten me with a law suit. I tell them that they are talking to the wrong person who was originally assigned this number but they continue to put me on auto dialer and they continue to call me. I have tried everything in my power and now is the time to put my foot where they sun don't shine and sue their [***]!!!!
