I am getting this number calling me 4-8 times a day.  When I pick up they hang up.  Shortly after an Insurance company called me trying to sell me something.  How do I get them to stop. All the caller id shows is "Auto Insurance"

I tell that Indian messenger (judging by the accent) to finally drop dead ... but he persists calling up to 5 times a day.
Is there no way to stop such nuisance?

They call 6 to seven times a day saying nothing. When you call back the voice system says if you want to stop getting calls to press one and it will take 48 hours in the meanwhile they are bombing you with calls.

Constant calls which I usually ignore. The couple of times I picked up there was no one on the other end of the line.

Constantly calling today!  I haven't answered yet. 6 times already.  I just called back the number and it brings you to a do not call button to push with a 48 hour wait.

916-347-0717 has been calling me 5-8 times a day, everyday in the last 5 days.  No message left.  When I finally responded to this call and asked him not to call again, he became hostile and hung up.  And then he called again.  Reported to FCC.

Caller keeps calling and then hangs up !!! ANNOYING..

Daily get it multiple times.. Stupid people.

This phone # is harrasing me I want it to stop!!!!

I've asked them several  times not to call me, now themes call me everyday every hour and hang up on me  I have reported them many times but nothing has been done

If I recognize the number I turn up my music... set the phone down ... then go make some coffee.  If they are still on the line I suggest the person pays a fee.  After they hang up I block the number.

The National Do-Not-Call Registry is enough - once you sign up, the cold-calls should stop. This phone number is cold-calling in disregard to the DNCR, then transferring the leads to another entity, which then calls you and transfers you to an actual insurance company. What I like to do is engage and play along until I get to the insurance company, give them bogus info and waste their time, then let them know that I don't appreciate their use of a law-breaking, third-party, hard-to-trace upstream entity to generate sales leads. Then I file a BBB claim against the insurance company ("Unethical Sales Practices") - the latest being Liberty Mutual. The DNCR, FTC and FCC are underfunded and have no regulatory teeth, and your Congress-people are too busy fighting the opposing party to actually solve social ills. We, however, can fix it, and have some fun in the bargain...

They called me 10 times from 6pm to 7:30pm. I finally answered and told them to stop calling me!! Very annoying!!

Just answer and tell t.Hem you're blind.......they'll stop.

I've had this same Auto Insurance call me every half hour Feb. 28th.  Started at 8:00 a.m. and went on through out the day.  My husband did get an individual, with a very thick Indian accent, and told him to quit calling.  Now all we get if we do answer is nothing on the other end.  So, I hang up.  I've been on the Do Not Call registry since June 2003.  It's amazing the government can spy on our phones and know our conversations, but they can't find these scum bags.
