number called and robot voice said they were from some credit union. they were calling to tell me my ATM card had been compromised and someone was using it-- They wanted me to press one to do something, probably give them my account info so they could steal money out of my account. All I know is that I don't have a credit union account and they are most likely sketchy. I recommend not pressing one.

My husband and I both received the same phone call for an old account that is closed now.  I did press 2 and they asked for my account number.  That is when I hung up.  It is interesting they did this when the credit union was closed so I could not report it right away.

A man calls from this number and tells you to call another number is your experiencing banking fraud. The man is a kahn artist and just out to get your information, a nuisance, and nutt. Ignore his calls. If you listen to how he sounds, the inflections in his voice are those of someone who don't one [***] about who he screws and a greedy person preying on people. He even sounds like a sex offender I am familiar with on our block. Turn off your phone or your transmitters when he calls. Call the police on him. He's not out to help anyone with banking fraud.

My business keeps getting calls from this number regarding cleaning service.  On numerous occasions we have told them no and to stop calling but we keep getting them.  Does anybody know what company they're from?

The call I received from this number had a machine voice and did not say who it was from, but it stated that my ATM card had just been accessed by someone who was not me, and that "they" had taken the precautionary measure to disable the account. I was asked to press '1' to connect to their security dept. I hung up.

I just left a message on this number at DoNotcall.gov and I recommend you all do the same.  This is clearly a scam.  Recording notifies me that my ATM has been compromised and that I have to press 1 to speak with their security department.  I have no account with the institution that they claim to be calling from, so it's easy for me to know that it's a phishing scam, but not everyone else will be as fortunate.

For those of you not familiar with what this is about, caller will generally tell you that your account has been compromised.  In order to "verify" that you are the true account holder so they can proceed with you, they will ask YOU for your account number and other private financial information which you should NEVER give (and no financial institution that you are a customer of would every need to ask you).  They will then use this information to try to take money from your account electronically.

Got call, as previous poster said from "american bank of texas" but the bot voice was so bad I couldn't understand much beyond that.  Anyone posting here is most likely sensible enough to know a scam when they see it.  Good work.  Hope the elderly or just plain dumb don't get caught up in this.

Just got the same call about how my credit union account has been comprimised and that i should press one. The voice was a womans robot voice and when i said under my breath that i dont have any___ ___ sort of credit union account it immediatly hung up which makes me assume that the true caller is but playing a recording and listening for a tone to pick up the phone. If some one thinks about it next time the bot calls you should simply press a different number other than one and we might be able to soon discover how much experience and back up this scam artist has under his belt.
An eye for an eye when the idiot is coming after undeserving people.
    Good lookin out yall

Recorded mssg mentioned name of a credit union with name of local school district and nearby city.   Same thing as above......ATM has been deactivated because of some kind of questionable activity...press # to take care of the matter.

I hung up and reported the # to   www.donotcall.gov   where both my hm and cell #s are listed.

Most annoying thing is that they called my cell#, which I don't readily give out.
