Received a call at work no clue, no message at left

Received a call today on my cellphone. I don't know how they got my number. I do not know who they are or why they called me. I called them back using *67 and all I heard at the other end sounds like a fax line beeping noise. I think it's one of those "auto-dialer"

I have no idea who this number is and am getting sick of them. They call at least once a day but even once a day is too much.

I havve no idea how they got my number or who they are. If I dont know the number, I certainly am not going to answer it, and I do not know anyone in California!

This number is from Honda Financial Services (shows in caller id as: usan inc).  They call when your car payment is past due for over 60 days.  Hope this help!

53 days past due... (...now 33 days) Had some hard times but was able to make a payment and things are picking up again.  Only two payments left which will be finished in the next month.  Then they called and left a message in which asked where they could come to pick up their car *today*...  15 minutes before they closed... on Saturday... after a payment had been made on-line!  Could not call back the number because it's a fax line and Honda financial was closed by the time I looked up their main number.  I also told them yesterday that they would have a payment by Monday.  That was ok with the person I talked to.  Then they left this abusive message today.

Think twice about being late with Honda. Other banks I've talked to have been willing to wait or come to arrangements. These people seem to forget what we talked about the previous day.

If you get a call from this number, *call them back* at the regular Honda financial number and -- if you are in a state that allows it -- record you call.  At least document what you talked about, and keep your paperwork in order.  These are amongst (but not quite) the worst of the black-hearted collector-bottom-feeders you can talk to, and will try to trip you up.
