Some guy called from 916-724-2643 and said " Is Mr. ____ in?"
I asked "What is this in regards to?"
He said "I am returning his call"
I said "about?"
He said " About the AGC"
I then asked "What is that?"
He got a little pissy and asked "IS MR. _____ IN?"
that is when I said "Mr.____ hasnt been with the company in a few years"
what a jerk ......  lol   he said " umm... ook  *click*"  hahahaha!
I hope the jerk reads this .... so many scum tele scammers out there...

It looks like this is a company called HCMM. Buyer beware! Do some reasearch first like I did! look here:

I got a call from this number just now - someone claiming to work for "Theresa Samudio" wanted to talk to our CEO ("or his partner") about a meeting.

Chock-full of red flags, though:
1. The gal was talking very fast - I had to have her repeat Theresa's name several times, because it kept coming out TERSAMO - which is always a sign of spam, especially when they get mad at having to talk at a normal speed.
2. She insisted her boss and my boss had a Very Important Meeting, and when I said there was no such thing in his calendar, she immediately changed tactics and said yes, this call was to reschedule that meeting.  Well, which is it, lady?
3. Once she said she was calling from HCMM (again, very slurred from the motormouthing), I said we weren't interested.

"How do you know, [Jason] hasn't even talked to Theresa.."
"You said they had when you first spoke.  Which is it?  We are not interested, please take us off your list."
"This has nothing to do with you, this call is for your boss."
"He is not interested, please take us off your list."
"I have to hear that from him, not you."
"We are not interested, please take us off your list."  *click*

Legitimate businessfolk will be more than happy to leave a number, leave a message, send an email, etc., and are casual and friendly.  
Illegitimate businessfolk talk fast, leave no messages to pass on, are "on a line that can't be called back," etc., and get snippy and confrontational very quickly.  Also, if your boss actually -is- interested in talking to them, the second you put these people on hold, they hang up.  Legitimate businessfolk will wait.

Amanda, it looks like that is the HCMM Regional Vice President. The call you describe is typical of HCMM/IPA.

HCMM is no longer associated with Rob Popkey and IPA! Rob ran the business under and the original owners of HCMM found a way to rip the company away from him!

These people call here every single day asking for my boss.  Whether he's here or not, I always say he's not.  I send them to his voicemail.  I don't know if they actually leave a message or not.  I'm going to start picking up and hanging up on them every time I see HCMM in the caller ID.  They will not get the message that if he doesn't call back, he's not interested.  It is so frustrating!
