Second call in two days from different area codes but with the same 9953.  Other sites say they are scam debt collectors mining for personal info.  We let the answering machine pick-up and they just hang up.

I have had the same thing happen as the others,  2 calls from different states but with the last 4 digits being 9953. they also said that they were debt collectors.  I have very good credit and never give my cell # to any credit card companies. really bothers me. but nice to know I'm not alone.

All they will do is keep calling you. They can't lock you up and they won't come to your house.

I just received a call from someone asking me to donate $100 or $150 to a group trying to stop Hillary Clinton from running in 2016.  But during the phone call I wasn't sure what the spelling of the website that the guy mentioned, so I asked him.   I wasn't sure if he was saying PAC or PACT for part of the website name so I asked him which is it.  PAC or PACT.   All he did was repeat the full website name.  So I asked him was it P A C (or was it) P A C T.  All he did was repeat the full website name yet again.   Again I asked him was it P A C (or was it) P A C T.  After the telephone call ended I did a google search and found out the website is http://www.stophillarypac.org/  (I want to stop Hillary, but this is a fake website for a fake group). Since this guy didn't even know the spelling of the company name I knew it was an attempt at identity theft or just plain theft of my credit card number he wanted.  Strange how this same number is being used for debt collection for other people and now for a fake website today for me

Received a phone call today from a "Blair Kingsley" from this phone number;claiming to be a private investigator for a law firm at 1-866-462-1526 that I have a case# with for 2 counts against me.  I am to contact them in a timely manner, or I will be served at home, my place of employment, etc.  I have no idea what this is about; I am not responding back.  Why would someone call from one area code and phone number to reference calling another #?

    Tired of these calls.

I had a very similar call from the same number, using "my name" at first, but then they said the message was for someone else with a different first name but with the same last name and that they were going to have him served at his home or employment etc.  I also have no clue and am NOT calling back.  Only one call, so far, but it was very strange!

Weird call.....  I think I'll keep my doors locked and my gun close, which I should do anyway.

Just received several calls claiming they represented a bank where I used to have an account stating that they were going to serve me with a document and that there are charges against me.  The woman stated that she was sending people to every known address for me and my place of employment to locate me.  When I told her that these are not legal collection practices and that I would report her company, she stated, "I'm gonna call your mother right now and tell her what you've done".  (My mother has Alzheimer's and is in an Assisted Living Facility).  I called the bank they claimed to represent, they have no knowledge of these people and said they would investigate.  This number called again, woman identifying herself as Paris Nelson, telling me I had an hour to call 877-742-3967.  When I called, I got a belligerant man on the phone who, when I told him I had contacted the bank, said that they only collect pay day loans and they don't represent any banks.  When I told him that this is what Paris had said when she called, he called me a liar and a thief and said I had no right to tell him how to "run his business".   LOL!!!!   I believe this is a company that buys old debts that are outside the statute of limitations for collection action and try to threaten people to get them to pay since they cannot take any legal action.

The bank they referred to was a bank that I used when I had some pay day loans about six or seven years ago.  The statute of limitations for legal action on pay day loans is three years.

They cannot "lock you up" for debts.  All they can do is file a claim in court.  My experience with these people is that they buy old debts and try to collect them.   Most of the debts they are calling about are outside the statute of limitations for legal action, so they can't even file a claim in court.

Received call on my cell from this number. Not the first time, either. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, so am unsure who it was, but I see this number has been calling a lot of folks. Now on my blocked caller list on my iPhone.
