917-398-5567

I've received a call from this number and i have no idea who it is. I checked the area code and the caller if from New York. But it isn't this that's bothering me, what's bothering me is I've also received 2 more calls with area codes that I'm not familiar with. The (917) is a New York number. And i've received calls from a (312) which is from Chciago, and a (314) which is from Missouri. And as you can tell...these places are nowhere NEAR close to each other, not only that but all the calls were basically made at about an hour apart. I got a call from (312)878-5578 at 6:12pm, then (314)627-5523 at 7:26pm, and lastly (917-398-5567 at 8:54. Unfortunetly i was not able to answer any of the calls to see what they wanted because my phone was left upstairs, so i'm not rushing to any conclusions. Yet, it's also freaky because the times of the calls were too close. They were all made in a 24 period. I'm only 16 year old chick so i'm a little off-set.

Same thing happened to me yesterday - even to the phone numbers- bizarre. the times were earlier in the day but I am on the east coast so not sure if the timing would have been the same.

The same exact numbers are calling me & I work in a call center so I'm unable to answer when they call either but they are the exact same phone numbers in the previous message wonder what they want?

I have received several calls in the last few days from this number and others.  The similarity between all these numbers, despite having different area codes and prefixes is that the first two digits of the last four numbers are always 55.

These calls are all from The Career Institute... I applied for a job on line and the calls began immediately. How annoying.

I have not applied for anything online but am getting the same phone calls ??

Did not answer because did not recognize the number and they did not leave a message.  I have had other calls similar in the last week which I will do a search on them next they are 312-878-5578, 559-261-1865, 303-000-0000, 866-499-1332, 917-398-5567.

Same thing happened to me.about an hour apart. first 312-878-5578 at about 10:15. then 314-627-5523 at about 11:15, then 917-398-5567 at about 12:30 today.  I refuse to answer them because I don't know who they are from. Usually I look up online to see if other people are hassled by these numbers and if they are, then I don't worry and assume I missed a telemarketer. So thanks everyone who writes they get strange phonecalls from unknown numbers, becaues now I know there was nothing important I missed.

I started getting calls from all of the same numbers as listed by others and they began 4 or 5 days ago.  Usually they call at different times about 3 to  4 times a day.

yesterday I recieved 4 calls from 917-398-5567, later from 312- 878-5579, 314-627-5523, and finally 303-000-0000; since I have an ID phone number I did not answer any of these calls.
No idea, of the origin of these calls.

I just received calls from 312-878-5578 at 9:15 a.m., 213-420-4297 at 10:04 a.m. (which I already looked up and are a scam company trying to sell you a grant),314-627-5523 at 10:42 a.m. and 917-398-5567 at 11:54 a.m.  I have already put the (213) number on do not call list and blocked it on my Verizon cell (obviously not working though), so I think this may all be the same scam grant company calling but from different numbers.  The times they call (about an hour apart, make me suspicious. I have picked up the (213) number before and there is never anyone there.  This is my cell number and I do not give it out since the only reason I have it is in case my kids are sick at school, so I am not looking forward to my cell ringing all day long once my kids are back in school soon.  I am heading to Verizonwireless website again and will block all of these numbers, but I am not hopeful since the (213) number is still getting through even though I have blocked it 1 week ago.

i have got calls from all those numbers above and the reason is my friend used my number on you tube to try and win free stuff i am really getting feed up just tell them to stop calling and they will they did for me

I have had the exact same calls...SOOOO ANNOYING anyone know of the number you can call to block unknown calls on ur cell??

I called it back, it is from someone called "The Career Institute" selling online university studies.

ive gotten the same 3 numbers calling me idk who they are what they want and y they keep calling me and a have a so receced a call from the number(303)000-0000 no joke that scared the hell out of me

I have received calls from most of the numbers listed above and did not answer.  Thanks for the clearing this up - I put a DO NOT ANSWER - CAREER INSTITUTE on my caller ID so I don't have to try and remember the numbers.

I have been receiving calls from 917-398-5567, 312-878-5579, 314-627-5524. I was unable to answer the call because I was at work. When I called the numbers back, each one had the same message for the Career Institute. I have been in school for the past three years and am happy where I am at. I did not apply to any other school or apply for any jobs online since I am already employed.

When I called this number back it rang once and a recording said, "Thank you. Goodbye"

I keep receiving calls from 917-398-5568, 314-627-5524 and 312-878-5579 like 6 times a day.  I am getting very aggravated about this so today I decided to google the number and what I find is this site.  So I decided to call back the 917-398-5568 number and told the guy on the phone that I want to be taken off the call list.  I dont know how I got on the list in the first place but he needs to stop calling me.  So he said he would take me off the list.  Now lets see if he really does.  I heard you can go to donotcall.gov and put in your number.  If you continue to receive calls, you answer the phone tell the people if they call again you will report them.  They will then be fined $10k.
