Report a phone call from 917-522-1822 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- mozie| 2 repliesI got this call 3 times in about 10 minutes. It seems a friend with a 718 area code was calling me and said each time it did not ring on her end. she called on my cell phone to tell me this. I then told her to call my house call again from her 718 area code phone and it came in with this 917-522-1822 with no one at the other end. It seems to me that someone is tapping into verizon lines and doing this, but I don't know why
- chazahI get a call from this number as well, and so does other people i know who use VERIZON lines...however, verizon cannot do anything about = telemarketers calling people on the do not call list, called "spoofing"
- Jughead917-522-1822 calls and no one is on the other line. I hang up and three minutes later the same. Calls back in another 5 mins and I let the machine pick up and no one leaves a message. I have verizon.
- Caller: Unknown
- mozie replies to moziei just found out that the person who is calling me (my friend) and the number showing up with the 917-522-1822 has Vonage as her provider. She called Vonage and they tried to correct it. Now she called me today and her real number showed up but when I picked up, no answer. She said the same thing happened when she dialed me--it didn't ring on her end and she couldn't get through. It seems it is a Vonage problem
- 6 rings| 1 replyGot call from 917-522-1822 on a Sunday afternoon. An Asian man claimed that my computer had sent him 68 error messages and that he was the technical people assigned to help me out. First, I had no issues that I know of. He couldn't tell me what the messages were and then I asked him if this was a microsoft issue or an Imac issue. He proceeded to tell me it was a microsoft issue on an Apple product ... Duh ... I may have been born at night, not just last night. My reply to him was "if you truly were technically inclined you would know that Apples don't run on Microsoft systems" and hung up on him. Nor further call.
Scam for sure. Never got to the can I have your name and credit card info! - mm replies to 6 ringssorry, not to be rude, but Mac can run Windows... there is dual system....
- PerseusWhat REALLY bugs me is that these losers keep calling people who have already busted them. WTF do they keep calling me? I got the same call a few weeks ago. Heavy Indian accent claiming that he was from Microsoft. He said "your computer has some viruses". I hung up on that slimeball before he could finish that sentence. They've called back twice. The latest call was earlier today. Do they think you are stupid enough to fall for their scam if the call back again and again?
- headupwhy the telephone company don't stop this or the FCC, (because are making money)
- Caller: good question, you know ??

- JeniferReceived a call from the above number from an foreign woman and they were calling me in reference to a medication that I don't even take. She eventually hung up on me when I couldn't understand a word she was saying.. My phone said caller was Hudson Highland..

- GMag| 1 replyI received several calls from this number. He left me a number 888-434-1928 to call. He also spoke with one of my co workers and called a friend a third party and told them that he was trying to find me because I was writing bad checks. He called several times on my cell phone also and told me that if he has to leave his desks he will get me in the worst possible way and I would not like. He was very threatening. Once I called the 888 number (twice) the same person answered me and when I tried to verify who I was supposed to be defrauding she would not tell me where they were located only that the company was called Prudential Litigation, all the while telling me to shut up. She never identified herself as a debt collector and did any of the things listed in the fair debt act that she was supposed. When I told her how abusive her locator was, she said she couldn't help who was used to locate me. Once I told her I had checked out the number he called from, everytime he called after that the number was blocked. I have been in and out of my job dealing with medical problems and the stress of these calls, is just adding to my ongoing problems. Can anyone help me clear up this mess?
- Caller: Prudential Litigation

- princeFollow up the previous message. I guess this would be very helpfull for everyone there.
She said she added my number to my skype id in her contacts list. Then called me in skype.
So all those calls you are getting probably from skype. And if you did not check the list, your name and your phone numbers could be public in skype. - ElaineScammers. Female with either a Middle Eastern or Eastern European accent cold calling wanting the photo copier model number, imploying that they have a contract to supply us with tonor. We have a department that handles all purchases made by this institution. I told her - we don't use outside vendors but nice try.

- TammyCalled twice today on 7/25/12 and caller ID stated New York.. First time, no answer. Second time, got a male with a strong accent, possible India. I asked "What do you want?". He replied that he wants my money. I told him that he isn't getting it. He said "Go to Hell" I told him f*** you a**wipe and hung up. I am reporting this number to the FTC and let's see if they can stop these morons.
