I am always getting a cal from this number.

Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer it. No message so screw 'em.

Call came in as "Cell Phone NY". I don't know anyone in NY, so I'm with Harold ~ screw 'em.

Just got a call from these knuckleheads and like Harold, a number not recognized does not get answered.

The reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.

Got a call from NY, don't know anyone from NY so I didnt answer. After checking the number and reading all the complaints, I'm glad I didn't answer! Of course they didn't leave a message.

i downloaded and recorded on my answering machine the three tones and "we're sorry, you have reached the number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. if you feel you have reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again." -- the number of calls from the total annoying phone calls has dropped (some are persistent but most have stopped).

Report them to donotcall.gov.  Doubt it does any good but if they get enough complaints, who knows?

They will call you if you have the same name as the person looking for...they will call EVERYONE with the same name in hopes of finding the deadbeat.

If you are ABSOLUTELY FED-UP with this [***], start writing your Senator, Congressman, Governor and the FCC to get phone number spoofing outlawed....there is no good reason for anyone to spoof a phone number and it prevents the FCC from doing their job to find these dishonest, annoying people.

This number also shows up as "cell phone" on my caller ID, but it wasn't a scam debt collector.  Got a recorded message supposedly from my credit card company with an "opportunity" to lower my interest rate and monthly payments.  I hung up.  These calls are SO annoying!
