Scammers, IRS/FBI/SCAMS. They claim that you are being investigated and owe money to the gov. Indian/packastani accent

Scammers!   I keep receiving calls from this number and they leave messages to call right away.

I have received two calls/voice mail messages in the past week from (917) 688-4186, with requests to "contact them immediately regarding the case the IRS is about to file against me."  I am fully aware of how the IRS operates, so I know these calls were placed by scam artists.  All, please be wary!

Received a call today from this number! An heavy accented woman, who apparently spoke little English, informed me that this was the IRS calling and a lawsuit was being filed against me for back taxes for the years 2007-2011. I must pay $398.00 to stop lawsuit. I knew better because my taxes are all paid and I informed her she must be a scammer which  she responded that she was IRS. I told her never to call my house again! She called from Bronx, New York and telephone was 917-688-4186

Received a call today from this number. They left a message saying, "inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 917-688-4186. I repeat 917-688-4186. Thank you."

The call showed it was coming from India, even though the area code is Brooklyn, NY. I was half tempted to call it back and hear the scam play out. But it's not worth the time. Wish they could prosecute whoever they are.

This number called 2 times today informing us that we are being sued by the IRS.  The first time they told my husband we owed $3900.00 for tax years 2007 - 2012.  The lady with a very heavy Indian accent insisted that we were notified by mail 3 times and never acknowledged so now the law suit.  I called the number about an hour later and spoke to a person again with a very thick Indian accent.  She knew both our names, address and phone number and this time said we owed $1500.00 for taxes.  I questioned where she was calling from and told her I could not understand her so she put a supervisor on the phone and when I challenged him we were disconnected.  I called the number back and this time it was just a busy signal.  I tried several times and again a busy signal.
This is very concerning and obviously some sort of a scam.  Please be very careful.

how did you know this number was from India???

says they are the IRS and are going to sue me if I don't contact them at 917-688-4186

claim the IRS is suing me.... SCAM
