Employment Screener/verification. Caller was extremely hard to understand on her message

if this is an employment screening company...why are they calling my personal cell phone? i'm not a company, so i don't have employees to verify. sounds strange to me.

They call my house multiple times a day (day after day), even after I have told them that I don't know the person they are calling to confirm employment for.  They think they are calling a company even after I told them they are calling a private home.  They don't ever get the hint and I am tired of them calling and waking up my young child early in the morning.

Employment screening-as others report women caller very hard to understand, probably calling from India. Any company who enlists this service is wasting its money. The caller is immposible to understand. useless.

The woman is an idiot.  She asked if this was the Court of Appeals of Maryland.  I said no, this is a private cell phone.  Then she still tried to confirm with me whether the person worked for the Court of Appeals.

They probably want you to act as a reference for someone else who provided them your cell phone number.

They have called for the last three days at least twice per day. Some woman with a strange accent left a message saying that she needed a reference confirmed for Michael Anderson Miller and that she would need to know my position, his salary, and recommendation. In all sincerity I do NOT know Michael Anderson Miller. I will continue not to answer their phone calls; this sounds like a scam.

I verified this number. It is as above user said, and employment verification agency. My friend gave my reference in his resume and this HireRight called to confirm the person's details.

Seems to be a major scam. Received three phone calls from two different people, regarding three different people. The man claiming to be "Alan" had a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent, and gave me the last 4 digits of the alleged person to be checked SSN, and both times in doing so, started with one number then would say, "oh wait, it's..." whatever the number is.
