Report a phone call from 919-651-5511 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- MarkCaller provided his name and contact information and stated he was with Fidelity Financial Services. The phone call was in regard to an old 401k I had. He did not try to sell me anything but rather wanted to send me information from Fidelity so I could (if I wanted) transition my old 401k to a rollover IRA - which I already have with them.
As far as I can tell, the call was legit since I had been in contact with Fidelity several times in the recent past and this was one item that I discussed with them (at my initiation).- Caller: Fidelity Investments
- Call type: Unwanted
- GregThis is a legit call from Fidelity Investments. They like to make sure that their customers are informed.
- Caller: Fidelity Investments
- kbIt is interesting that when I returned the call that I received from "Fidelity", the message said "Please leave your name, phone number and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER" Doesn't Fidelity have that already??????
Seems like a scam to me!!!! My advice is if they are calling, don't give them any info...they should already have it...- Caller: Fidelity
- BillThey called my cell 3/16/11 @ 3:38 p.m.
I have no accounts with Fidelity, and I have not given them my cell phone number.
Got to be some kind of scam. - merciehe said if i didnt give him any info he will kill me
- eeeIt is Fidelity, they left me a VM with regards something very specific that I had inquired about..
- JTI just received a missed call on the cell phone; no message was left.
I have not had an account with Fidelity in many years, and at that time they never had this cell number.
The most suspicious part is people indicating a request for SSN on a voice message. SAY WHAT?
Is it just me, or do you think scammers are posting "positive" messages on these forums to help dupe others into a scam?
Assume it IS a scam. - benthis is a legitimate call from Fidelity who is the retirement administrator for my General Motors pension plan
- DeeIt was a call from Fidelity. I recently gave them my information at a work seminar. The man left his name, number, calling from Fidelity, and that he was following up with my request.
- Caller: Fidelity
- Texans informedThis is a scam and the caller asks personal questions and tries to be professional, however when he realizes he is getting nowhere, he becomes very inappropriate! BEWARE
- Caller: False fidelity agent
