Answered said hello a few times and no one replied. I hung up called the number back to hear a recording via Verizon Wireless (my carrier) saying the number has either been changed, disconnected or no longer in service.

Just received a call from same phone number, but when I called back, my phone dropped the call, phone didnt even dial the number, just said "Call droped"... dont know who this could be.

Yes, I received two phone calls from this number with the same results this morning.

I received a call from this same number.  when returing the call a recording said the call did not go through, these types of calls are very annoying is there a way to stop this?

Is there a way to stop the annoying calls from this number?

Same here, calls, no message, answer, no one there.  Just answer or leave message.

this number has been calling for three weeks straight at least 3 to 4 times a day, whoever it is doesnt say anything, leave a message or anything. Then when you call it back its busy.

Same here. Twice, got a call from this number since morning and the call even doesn't go though when you call back this number. Very strange!!

phone number (919) 747-4975  calls my home randomly. When I answer, no one is there...ever. Try to call the number back...it's either busy, says number has been disconnected, and so forth.

This number has called me 3 times today. Same issue, no one on the line, no voice message left.

Same as everyone else. They keep calling (3 times today!) and no message. I called back and there was a recording from Verizon saying the number has been disconnected. Grrr.....

They called again tonight....guess what??? There was someone there!!!! It was the News and Observer (Raleigh newspaper).
In this case, I'm guessing that what happens is the computer is dialing people's numbers for the News and Observer to call to solicit newspaper subscriptions...people aren't dialing our numbers, so what happens is, there may not be a person to talk to us when the computer dials it...they may all already be on the lines with other customers....
Still, very annoying, but still, an explanation.
