I received a call today, but did not answer it.

I believe the are selling newspapers answered only once but the have called everyday for the last two weeks.

Yup these clowns are bothering us to buy news papers.  I've been getting calls from this number plus a bunch of others since I cancelled the contra costa times newspaper which is part of the mercury news group.  Want to do something about it?  Boycott everything they sell and put telemarketing and this company out of business.  Tell everyone you know.  The internet is killing paper media slowly anyway...lets help speed up the process and not get these calls anymore.

I thought this was just me! I get a call from 925-318-1783 everyday! My caller ID states Pittsburg, CA. When I pick up there is no answer.

Starting 1/20 I get 3 a day ID states Pittsburg CA, when I answer no one says anything

Same as all.  Past several month.  No answer.  Got lucky one time one month ago.  She ID her self as Mercury News Sales, and said it is a computer glitch and they will stop calling.  Still, we continue to get the call and this AM.  Logged a complaint to the Do Not Call list.  Hope this will help....

I have had about 100 calls from them and never answer, finally called them and asked to be removed from the list, they said they would right away.  Hope it works,  I would suggest giving it a try.  Good luck.

Why do you keep calling me?

It was the Contra Costa Times circulation dept. They would call a few times a day then not say anything. I returned the call and asked them not to call, am already a subscriber. He said he would remove us from the list
