This number keeps calling my Mom's phone, says its a collect call. Trying to figure out who keeps trying to call her.

It's a land line in Kingman at the AZ State Prison. It's probably a scam. They called me on my cell phone today.

I keep getting that number calling me too!  And when I return the call, it is busy!  So, now what?

I received a message via Google Voicemail from this number earlier this afternoon with a message containing a suspicious number to call that appears to be linked to a prison. This number is unknown to me and I have no affiliations with criminals, to the best of my knowledge. I'm reporting the message as Spam. And I agree with the comments of others: do not respond, do not call any number listed or click on any links within the body of text.

My mom keeps getting a call from this number on her cell phone. We do not know who it is and why they keep calling her. I was looking in the phone book and i realized "718" was kingman. I got the computer and i decided to google it. I found this website first and realized what it was. If any of you are getting this call i repeat DO NOT ANSWER IT. ITS A SCAM!!! Lisa said if you know someone in kingman jail, answer it. But most people dont!!! So like i said please DO NOT ANSWER IT!!!

I got the call just now. I didn't answer it. I never answer calls I don't recognize and only return calls if they leave a message. Neither happened.

Nope - wasn't a scam for us. I called the jail directly (928-753-0759) and asked if it was a scam or if the only person we happened to know out there was who was trying to call. Gave them the name and it was him. Apparently, cell phones (maybe just our iphone or maybe just Verizon) don't accept their collect calls. You have to sign up at offenderconnect.com and prepay to accept calls. :-/

So, if you can a call from that number, call the jail directly and try to find out who was trying to get to you.

I'm sorry but no scam calls  would ever he received to a cell phone from and jail/prison. An inmate probably tried reaching you but most cell phones do not accept collect calls

If you set up an account inmates from the Mohave County Jail can call you on your cell phone.  Owner of the cell puts so much money on the account and you can receive calls until the money runs out.
