just got a call from this number also

Marketing call " last call to lower your interest rates, press 1 now!"
Just ignore them is my advice.

I am wondering  why they are calling me asking for a Cibc visa and why it was not paid when i did pay it on the frist of every month.

How do they continue to call even though I am registered with the do not call gov't listing

It says long distance calling they leave a message on my answering machine but when i check the message it's a hang up call. They've called twice... once yesterday at 11;30 a.m. today at 430 p.m.

They called me this morning ... didn't bother answering.

I have had this call more then once, If you do hit #1 and talk to a rep just ask then which credit card it pertains too (without giving any clue to which cards you hold, of course). Ususally on the first or second time you ask who they are, they will hang up on you. Remember never give any personal info or credit info to anyone on the phone!!!!!

Ack.  My son got to the phone before I did and pressed '1'.  Did he agree to something on our phone bill ?????

just got a call from these "clowns"...... would not identify who they were other than "card services", when I pressed for name of company they represent... caller called me a profane name and hung up.........

this is HUGE SCAM I'M SURE...... DON'T ANSWER THIS NUMBER.......

I just got a call from these morons. Pressed 1 to have some fun. Ken the agent asked me how much credit card debt I had and I told him zero, and he hung up on me.

Next time they call, I'm going to try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. I know it's a waste of time, but if everyone did that they would stop this BS.

Oh, and I'm registered with the Canadian Do Not Call List... guess it doesn't work very well. I still registered my complaint though, and others should too!

The do not call government list was the biggest scam of them all.. its not real.. and doesnt not exist... you have all been fooled. you paid into something that isnt real.. thinkin it was... who are the real morons here? the ones taking ur money.. or you the ones giving it to them?

They called me this morning pressed one they ask if you carry a balance if you say no they hang up on you. A good idea is put yourself on this list here https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng it's Canada's national do not call list it's up to these telemarketers to check if you are on this list before they call you or they will face sanctions you can file a complaint after you have been on the list for 31 days. I have been on the list a long time so I just filed a complaint and i hope they get whoever keeps making these annoying and possibly illegal calls in my opinion. You can also file a complaint here http://www.recol.ca/ or phone  Phonebusters here 1-888-495-8501 and report the call as a possible fraudulent call.

They called, I didn't answer. I'm on the no call list. This is annoying. I have to screen all my calls before answering them. Glad at least to be able to Google the #.

just got a call from this number...let the machine pick up...they did not leave a message...as usual...I refuse to answer numbers I do not recognize...if it is an important call...a message will be left and I can get back to them...these people are a pain in the [***].

This almost has to be a scam. If they were reputable they would have to be a bank. What sort of bank hangs up on you as soon as you try to deviate from their script? Scary thought. Perhaps it IS a bank. I have reported it to the NDNCL. If enough people do that it MAY help and it can't hurt.

Said they were card services. I asked them two days ago to remove us
from their call list. Apparently they can not follow simple instructions.

All these "credit card services" calls are scam. There are a few things you need to know:
- No real bank would call and ask for your credit card info on the phone, so never trust someone who does.

- The "Do not call" list is useless for these calls because they are a bunch of criminals who simply ignore regulations and restrictions.

- Caller Ids you see when they call is fake. They have the equipment to spoof ANY phone# they want. That's why police can't easily get to them.

- You can block their phone number, but they simply use another phone number whenever they feel the old number is no longer useful.
