ATT telemarketer

On my caller ID the display shows "EFFECTIVE TELES..."  I have my number on "Do Not Call" lists - How did they get it?

They have been calling for weeks trying to get me to sign up for ATT.  I used to have ATT until 2 months ago..  I cancelled because their prices were way too high.  I have told them that, I have told them I will not go back to them, and to stop calling.  They continue to call and tell me it will take time to get me off their list.  They have been telling me that for weeks.  I told them this is harassment, and I want them to stop calling, I am not interested.  They still continue to call and continue to keep trying to talk me into signing up with them again.   They do not get it, I am not interested.  This is total harassment!!!

I've reported this before but they have called twice since I last reported it.  I never answer.

It said telemarketer - I'm on the do not call list - why are they calling?

I have this number calling me 3-4 times a day.  I'm on the do-not-call list.  This is harrassment and I'm seeking the assistance of a lawyer to stop this.

Sometimes 5-6 times a day and when I have answered, there is never anyone on the line ... it eventually goes dead if I wait long enough.  I've started answering and immediately feeding them a tone, and the line will sometimes hang up.  And yes I'm on the DNCL

They call 3-5 times daily.

Canceled AT&T just recently, which I had for 17 years with no services with rates upwards of $21/month.  THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED BEFORE TO OFFER ANYTHING.

The  new BS agreement that came in the mail several months back was so one sided that I had to cancel.

I spoke to a lady with a heavy accent for about 10 minutes.  She promised me cable, phone & internet for $87/month, free installation and free NFL package.  She wanted my date of birth and social security number.  I hung up and called ATT and asked them if they have such a deal going.  They said "NO", we do NOT offer a free NFL package and NEVER ask for anyones SSN over the phone.  I think this number is an outright scam.

They have called me every day, never leaving a message.  So I called back & there was a voice mail saying they would be right with me with lovely music in the background.  Then it dawned on me that I would probably be charged boo-koo-bucks to wait for someone to answer.  How can this be stopped?

This company calls  5-6 times a day sometimes.   I have finally given up answering.    I am on a DO Not Call list.     I just want them STOP, it is annoying.   I do not want telemarketing calls.   Period.

I finally got to talk to someone here and told them NOT to call me...They still do

Comes up as Effective Teles.I refused their services. They continue to call. I beleive there is a way to file for damages. Stay tuned.

I too am receiving these calls.
If you are on the Do Not Call Registry, and changed carriers in the last 18 months, you are considered to have a business relationship with your previous carrier under the guidelines of the Registry.
If you tell the calling party not to call again, they have to stop. If they continue to call they are in violation of the Do Not Call Registry guidelines and you can file a complaint.
The FTC does not act on a couple of complaints, only when they get numerous complaints. If they ignore your request to quit calling file a complaint.

I believe they get our info from this company called Intellius (sp?)  It has everyone's name from my family listed as well.  For a fee, they can get the goods on anyone.  There is no such thing as unlisted in the IT Age.  If you have a way out of these people, let me know.
