It's a scam

I got a call from this number he claimed his name was Anthony Archie.  I had applied for a secretary/assistant job online I thought it was from Career builder and he agreed that I had but I started to get a little suspicious of him and thought it seemed too good to be true, so I started to do a little research and realized I had applied for the job on Craigslist.  I was supposed to pay his bills and run errands and so forth.  He sent me a check for 2480.00 for me to pay myself and send 1000 to one woman in London and 1030 to another Woman in London.  Before the check cleared I called the bank and informed them of the situation and the pulle the check and placed a hard hold on it while they found out if it was a fake.  When I confronted him about it and asked him what name he preffered and called him by all the names I had found on the internet that he had used and he started cussing at me calling me stupid I told him I reported him and filed a police report.  Bottom line REPORT him!  He is using a land line to run his scam get him caught so he can't hurt anyone else.  My bank said several people had fallen for his scam before they caught the fake check and the bank can take up to 3 weeks before the bank finds that it is a fake check and you are held responsible for the money.

how do i report this. i thought there was somethng suspicious. i got the check but im afraid to call him and hve it cashed.

I applied for a position to do ups for an "office" awhile back and figured it was too good to be true and a scam so i reported the posting after talking to the person handling the applies basically telling them to [***].
Today i got a check for $2,500. DID not cash it. thankyou for posting his number online... i hope more people will do their research before cashing it.
hopefully they catch this person.

Yeah, he's also using the name Alan Bradshaw, has a sickeningly-stupid foreign accent, he can't hear for shyt and keeps repeating himself. The same thing happened, he sent a bogus traveller's cheque for 2480.00 . I went to the bank and said I thought I had a worthless piece of paper , but I had my bank do some research and after a few calls, the woman came back and told me that the routing number wasn't even real . Just like I thought . When "Alan" called me to ask if I had deposited the cheque, I told him it was a scam and he hung up in my face and did not send me anymore emails. He's also incredibly rude, he called at five in the  morning and also at two in the morning .

I applied on Craigslist too for what I thought was a local Front Desk Receptionist & Office Administrator position. Got an email from him using the name Frank Ethan, wanting me to shop for him, recieve packages at my house of electronics, art work, etc. and ship them to customers or him. Said he was in Australia and couldn't personally meet with me and wanted my address, phone number etc. I just had a bad vibe from the minute I read it and didn't even respond. I looked on Craigslist to find the actual job posting but it was no where to be found.

he sent me a mail for a mailing job was no check in the letter ,,why would anyone want to take mail and return it to get money seem scam like fake ass [***] online ,,watch out for lotto scams and email scams,nigerian [***] you cant get gold diamonds,cash or electronic transfers it all scams,,,i tried few they lie and lie ya seen chris hansen dateline he exposed them also oprah had a story long ago on it... watch out for these dating sites they scams many of them even the paid ones these [***] after money...if you never play the lotto you cant win it,,these are scams online....playng the lotto in a pool or club you will share the win....obama need to go after scams in africa and places get folks money back plus put stop on these scammers they hurting people in theft and lies....spread it on social sites and google plus say no to scams
