I received a call from this number. When I answered no one was on the other end,  When I hung up, I went on the internet to see if anybody else has been called by this number and found no searches. I decided to call this number back to see what it was about.  It turned out to be a solicitor for the Florida State Troopers. I don't give donations over the phone because I'm not sure if they are legit. I also don't need them sending me any literature with an envelope for donation either, for the same reasons. These solicitors keep a big chunk of that money for themselves and doesn't give the FST their full share.

Your absolutely correct, it is the Florida troopers association trying to collect donations over the phone. Not a bad thing but I am also a little Leary of giving my info over to someone on the phone.

I received call today (Oct 15). I asked how much went to FHP and how much to admin. He said less than 10% went to troopers. I told him BS and hung up.

Don't give any money to these solicitors. Almost NONE of their collections goes to benefit troopers. It's a rip.

Message left is asking for donations for FL State Troopers Association. In the past 6-8 months, we have received calls for donations to this Association from 18 different phone numbers (3 of which were spoofed). Sounds very phishy. We do not pick up and we delete all messages. I received a call from this # and when I answered there was a click or hang up.  First, I am in line with other posters in that I am not giving a credit number or bank account number to anyone in which I did not initiate the call.  Second, I don't appreciate someone harassing me in my own home. My phone is for my use and not to be harassed.  I am so sick of this and if it's not the phone then it is the substantial junk mail.   Don't recommend the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  That is a joke and I continuously have registered the phones but still continue to get calls.  I remind the person calling that I am on that list and instead of apologizing for the interruption they abruptly hang up.  Annoying is all I can say.

Many think the do not call is some technical solution that somehow blocks your number(s) from getting calls.  Unfortunately, that's not the case; the do not call list will only work with voluntary compliance by legitimate businesses.   If this number truly is legitimate and you request that they stop calling you, they should.   It seems like the only calls I get anymore are fraudsters/scammers, and it's not like they're going to care about breaking the rules a do not call list, when they're trying to steal from you.

I received what I presume to be a robocall from 941 214 1070 no one there called number back entity did not give their name gave me office hours told me to call back or I could opt out but the mail box attached to that option was full, Apparently it was Fl troopers i dont give money over the phone either

This company calls "on behalf" of Florida State Troopers and are immune from the Do Not Call list just as the political calls are.  However typically, very little money goes directly to the Troopers although the company that calls could even be owned by one or more Troopers themselves.  That happened here in Tampa with a company calling for the Firefighters.  The thing is these charities have to register and provide financial information.  A good web site to check on a charity is: https://csapp.800helpfla.com/cspublicapp/giftgiversquery/giftgiversquery.aspx  and perform a simple search on the charity's name.  In this case it seems that expenses, outmatch the revenues, thus the charity in question probably receives zip.  It's a familiar story for almost all charity cold calls.  Make it your response not to fall for it.  You'll feel better about your refusal when you view this site's information, and you'll get fewer calls, too.
