I just received a call from this number, and I answered the phone. The line was dead. So I called back, thinking it was a telemarketer, with the intent of asking them to take me off their calling list. I got two more calls from them while I was waiting. The man on the other line claimed to be from the Department of Legal Affairs. When I asked why they had called me three times? He said "Why didn't you pick up the first time?" I told him I did, but the line was dead. He asked "Why did you not call back after the first time?" I told him I did, and that they were calling while I was trying to call them. He wouldn't tell me who he was or what he wanted, and then proceeded to swear at me, calling me a "b*tch" and telling me to "go f*ck" myself.

Note that this number was calling from Florida and I am from Washington, the complete opposite side of the country.

I received a very threatening call from this number. The man on the other end was saying he was with the Department of the U.S. Treasury and that our tax return from two years ago had a mistake on it. He said IRS agents would be at my house within 45 minutes to arrest me if I hung up. On the phone with the IRS now.

I also received a similar phone message from this number a few minutes ago.  

I was at a friend's house a while ago when they received the same - English spoken with a heavy Indian accent, improper grammar, claiming my friend had a warrant out against them.  Total scam.  Seems to be a new type - not much to be done about it but report it.

It is a scam and Treasury department is aware of this phone number.  I also reported the number to state attorney general office. Call treasury department at 800-366-4484.

It's a scam! Nothing to do with the IRS. If the IRS has a problem with your taxes, they will contact you by mail.

He claims his name is Steve Myer or Martin he claims I will be charged with a criminal offense.  He says it's an inforcement action executed by the US Treasury.  He claims I will go bfore a Magistrate Judge or a Grand Jury.  He claims if I ignore this call I can be charged.  They never addressed me by my name nor did they ever ask for me.

I had a message left on my phone from a Steve Meyer or something like that, the accent is very strong and broken, the connection was also breaking up so it was difficult to understand what the caller was saying. The only thing that came across clear was the phone number I was suppose to call back, hmmmm
He also said if I did not call back I would end up having to go before a Magistrate, Judge or Grand Jury and said he was here to help me. Sounds a lot like the same call that Tera Hunter received. This was the second time we received a message like this, both calls were from someone with what sounds like a heavy India accent.  

I also got a call from this number.. Heavy Indian accent and was telling I had a criminal offense and that it was a second time trying to contact me.. He said that I had better make an effort to contact them within 24 hours or I would be arrested and fined for my offense.. I have no idea wth this guy in talking about. This has been done to my sister that they scammed her into sending them $700.. Big big scam I am sure!!! Be aware of this 941-244-6216

I got the same ridiculous call about the US treasury and he keeps calling. I have never tried to answer it just goes to VM and he leaves a message.  I knew right off that it was a scam because he didn't even say my name and the heavy indian accent, uuummmm NO. I hope no one sends this guy a dime, but unfortunately I have a feeling some people will. He should have been stopped by now.  
It is definitely the same caller each time who claims to be Steve Myer, ummm no again!! I think I should answer next time and tell him my name is Mary Jane from the FBI and we are tracking his location right now please stay on the line. Then see what he says LOL. Something else to try. If you call him back pretend like you cant hear him, say huh, over and over. That should make him nice and frustrated and do it with a heavy southern accent.
Please People do not listen to this jerk it is 100% a scam.

Same here; left voicemail, claiming to be US Treasury enforcement. Of course, the Treasury will always contact you by letter first, not by a phone call demanding money.
