Receive a call from this # and couldn't even understand the English.  I have no idea what it is for and when I called the number back I got like a laughing joking voicemail of someone.  sounds like a total scam to me.  I reported the number.

Got a call from 941-961-8518 and the number is not listed with Verison.  This is a scam and don't give out your information or any banking or SSN info.

I got a call from a man named Shawn Richards, this morning saying that i had a loan out that i never paid back... which i knew was not correct because i always pay back my loans on time. However, he continued to push me and so i started to think that i might have missed one. I asked him who was the lender and he said cashnet... okay. there are a lot of lenders with that in their name. he asked me for my attorneys number. i happen to have an attorney so i gave him his number. he never called him. i told him i would take care of it and he told me to fax a letter saying exactly this... "I, my name, authorize the creditor to make a payment of, blank amount of money, with my credit card or debit card. then put my card number. sign it and put the last four of my social." i wrote it down as he said but never faxed it. the number he gave me to fax was 714-710-4103. he called me a couple hours later to ask why i never sent it. i told him i spoke with my attorney and he said to not send the money, and he then began to yell at me. and so i hung up on him. he then called right back and continued to yell at me. i asked him a couple basic questions about the loan. such as lender name, date borrow, date dued, and amount borrowed but he could not answer and became angry again and begun to yell again. so i hang up. an hour later he called my number asking for a different person. and i said sorry wrong number and hung up.
every time he called there was always a lot of background noise.
the other numbers he had given me were. 831-219-7605, 941-961-8518, 831-214-7605. if they call me again i will file a report against them with my local police.
dont give them any information, and i recomend you ask them to stop calling you or you will file a report for harrasment.

I have recieved many calls from this number and each time it is the same man with a different name. He advised me that I had unpaid loans and if I did not pay them I would be arrested. He had my full social security number, address, etc... all of my personal information. There is a lot of backround noise and his accent is real thick. This is a scam. The number is a Verizon number but when you call it back it tells you that they cannot be reached. I have otehr numbers from this scam and they all cannot be reached. Do not give them any money!!!

I received a call from them also stating they had a case against me. they have also called from other numbers. everytime i look up the number I see someone else has reported the same thing.

I recieved the same call today they stated that if i didnt call or my attorney that they wished me best of luck.And that it was timed sencitive.My lawyer wants to find them because some people has been calling bosses and telling them that your a criminal for writting bad checks.

Same story here - some ranting guy calls my work number with an Anglo name and a very un-Anglo accent. It sounds like he's calling from Mars or India, whichever is farthest. Same verbiage - needs to hear from me or my "attorney of record", wishes me luck if he doesn't hear from me. I'm concerned though, because today's message included the name of my employer and the names of two personal contacts, so he's obviously got his hands on something. Like others, when I tried the return number of 831-219-7605 (not to be confused with the caller ID number, which was disconnected), it just rang.

I keep getting calls from this nbr, cannot understand the guy, so he forwards me to his supervisor who I still cannot make sense of what he is saying. They told me to relay my SSN in order to verify my case nbr. Told them no way and they said need to give it or else would be hearing from their Atty on Monday re lawsuit. Asked them what law firm they were calling and again, could not understand - the caller ID nbr comes up as 941-961-8518 which when called gets automated response from Verizon that this nbr has been changed or disconnected. Definitely a scam these guys are trying to pull to get SSN's.

same case stating that they are a Sonic Bank (no such bank).  It's an id fraud. Contact FTC or an attorney general office.

Started yesterday....

CALLED MY WORK,  3x under 2 different names

CALLED ME  2x under 2 different names

CALLED MY MOTHER THIS MORNING ( I don't remember who he was this time )

But when you question who he is, he gets very nasty.

I called him this morning & told him that he wasn't legit & I'm filing a police report.

He then screamed: "DO NOT CALL HERE ANYMORE, YOU ARE NOT ON MY CALL LIST"

To be honest w/ you, NONE of the info he gave me sounded like anything familiar, I didn't recognize the company or names.

But they obviously bought my personal info from someone.

Do not let this ignorant screaming person scare you! I received a call from him on Friday (1/9/08) telling me that I owe over $2,000 and that he is submitting my file to federal crap crap and that they will be coming to my job to arrest me on Monday. At first, I was panicking and he knew it so he played on that. I spoke with an attorney at my company and also called Federal Trade Commission because I was so darn scared, anyway, it is against the law for any individual to arrest you for just a paid day loan which is however illegal. I was amazed that he had so much info on me, he has my ss#, address, work and cell #, everything. This guy kept on calling me, I told him to hold on to speak with the attorney at my office and he hang up, he called back I kept transferring him, he kept hanging up. He called my cell screaming at me and becoming angrier by the minute that I was not falling for his scam. This sucker got our info from some low life and is using it to collect some fast cash off us.  It's obvious that he caught a few people before that's why he keeps repeating this act.

DO NOT LET THIS SUCKER SCARE YOU!!

I received a phone call today, they called my cell phone it went to voicemail and immediatly rang again same number I didn't answer as soon as I was alerted that I had a message my office phone rang they asked for me and I told them she no longer worked here. I am so glad I googled the phone number and found this information. I was advised in my message that unless he heard back from me today he could guarantee that this matter would effect my credit!! I will call back when I leave for lunch and let them know of the research I have done and that they will not get any money from me and not to call me again!! Good luck to the rest of you out there who get the same call as many of us!!

Recieved a call from this number, couldn't understand the Lady but lots of background noise wanted something but couldn't make it out.  She called me at my work so who knows.  Will keep you informed on what I find out.  Anyone heard anything from FTC or Attorney General's office from a complaint submitted.

He said With broken english that he had a file in his office that said I took out a pay day loan last year and I had not paid it.I said ummmm no you are wrong bc I never had taken a pay day loan out.So then I hung up.He called back 3 more times within 5 mins.The last time I told him  to provide info on this in writing and send it too me reg mail. And I also called the local police also No not give this [***] any info on you at all also when you call the number back it is not in order

Basically the same scam...asks if 000-00-0000 is my social security number(he has the correct one) and then he asks me the name of my attorney...unfortunately for him, he tried this on me about 6 months ago, so he shut up pretty quick when I told him to look himself up on ripoffreport.com ... also goes by the name Tony.

I received a call from this nnumber and the guy could hardly speak english and said I owed all this money which I was worried that I did and when I asked him for details he kept dodging the subject and said I needed to pay $552 via phone today. He asked for the name of my attorney and then said he was giving me to his supervisor. After a 30 sec. delay he came back on and it was the same guy and he started bullying me all over again. He said he was calling from United National Bank.

I was in a meeting when the two calls from this number (941-961-8518) came to my cell phone.  The man had a thick middle eastern accent, but I could clearly understand the beginning of the message he left.  He said that I should call him the very second I get the message.  He made other demands and threats about their attorneys needing to finalize some urgent business with me before legal action is taken.  He also informed me in the message that this was my last chance to handle this before legal action is taken.  When I called the number back to see what it could possibly be about, there was a recording saying the number was disconnected from Verizon.  I haven't heard from them again.

I also recieved a call from this caller.  He actually called from phone number 941-961-8518 which is a landline located in Sarasota Fl serviced by AT&T.  The number that he advised me to call was 818-451-4693 which is located in Canoga Park Ca. and it is serviced by 01 Communications.  The call sounded like it was coming from a call center due to the background noise.  

He said that his name was Kevin Jefferson which is fake because he had a very thick accent and the fact that he stuttered the last name.  He said he was a law enforcement officer. He said that I or my attorney should call him the second I got the message.  He also wished me luck if I did not call him.

I did not and will not call him back because I don't trust callers from numbers I don't know. The calls are very fishy and I hope someone gets these people before they mess up someone's life.

I recvd a call from work stating i would be picked up if i didnt pay for a loan with Cashnet USA they had my ssn, banking info, and address. They stated i owed 1400 but if i paid $500 the charges filed against me would be dropped. I asked for a fax regarding this matter and they stated once i paid them i would get it YEAH RITE!!! Called my lawyer stated to me not to worry its against the law to do such an act. These BOYS are very rude on the phone and i couldnt get a straight answer from them. PLEASE BWARE THIS IS A SCAM!!!
