I answered after getting a few calls. The guy wanted to talk about the warranty on my new Honda Fit. Asked if I received my notices in the mail and that they wanted to give me a final chance to buy the extended warranty because apparently I had not signed up.

I told them I already got the 10 year warranty on my car when I bought it. Silence and all I got was "oh, so it looks like you're all set then." and they hung up.

Guy called about a warranty on my new Volkswagen Jetta. Same as other commenter, asked if I received my notices in the mail and that they wanted to give me a final chance to buy the extended warranty because apparently I had not signed up. I had already purchased an extended warranty (but did not tell them this). Instead, I asked if he was actually with Volkswagen, and he dodged that question by saying their warranties are good nationwide.

Not sure exactly what type of scam they're running here, but its definitely no good.
