Claiming they are from Microsoft and wanting to correct the problem with our windows program. SCAM!

Tech scammer. Kept them on the line for 8mins 16 seconds without touching a computer. Can you beat it?

On 2/2/2017 received a call approx. 1:50 pm, (robo caller) man saying your computer has a software problem. Please press 1 to talk to someone from Microsoft. I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING, JUST HUNG UP!

The only way to fight this is to call out the US carriers who are complicit in these business practices. To find the actual company that called you is almost impossible, so people should go after the local provider  and submit complaints to the company directly and FCC implicating the provider, not the caller.

This Phone number is provided by Bandwidth.com LLC.
These guys provide the service, wholesale it out to [***], and take no responsibility for compliance as they sit back and watch the fleecing of America.
Trying to submit a complaint with them is useless.
But I think the best way to voice your opinion is to call the VP:

Wanted to know if I could hear him.  Told him have already heard of this scam and not to call me again!

Just received a call from this number. My caller ID said Laguna Beach, CA. Recording said my computer was sending erroneous messages. Wanted me to hit Keypad #1 for Help. I live in Massachusetts. So I hung up.

949-281-1132   This is a SCAM.   Pretending to be from MicroSoft.   Microsoft will never ever have an unsolicited call to a residential customer.  You're just not relevant to them.

I have received several calls from this number, which I have ignored. They have some way to keep your phone from going to voice mail. I let mine ring for three minutes before it ended.

Caller claims to be from Microsoft security and needs to fix my computer. Call is BS. A scam.
