Have had two calls from this number, but have answered neither.  He left a voice mail on one, but since I pay per call to listen, I won't listen.

Yes, this number keeps calling my daughters phone, she only has txting so I am not sure why this number keeps calling her phone, I put the number into my phone and it just said that it was a California number, has anyone ever seen this number before ???????

Keeps calling me, also.  Don't know anyone in CA.

called number, i had to call verizon wireless about a problem i had and if it was resolved.

Received three calls from this number also. All this a.m. Just ignoring them. Hate it!!

This is a twwo day new number please stop calling me.

This is a telemarketer that is using Verizon as a front.  Don't answer the number and block it if you can. At the present time anyone calling Customer Service at Verizon will get this call. It is being investigated by Verizon.

It's my phone i keep in the glove compartment in my car in-case i get stuck but I know my mom, roommate and sister only know that number so I couldn't imagine who it was and all searches said a land line from Irving, California, where I know NOBODY, I am from Boston and working in San Antonio ,Texas. Now as I see A lot of other people have had this number bother them too so I'm sure it's just some kind of scam/marketing or solicitor call. Thank yous guys for helping me realize its not just a personal thing that I see many of others have said the same thing about this particular (exact) phone number and area code. thank goodness for people like you on the net! =)

received  a few calls from this number.  i called back and it's Verizon.

After my gmail was hacked, the cell # associated with it,(mine) started getting calls from this and other odd numbers and VZW receipts started coming from the usual (no return no.) and from a 900 number dated, down to the same minute. When "confusion desuaders shockers" appeared as the caller's name (something I thought only I could do) it seemed too creepy. When it started synching my contacts and my own security password became invalid, I dropped the service. Try to explain that to your CC co. and maintain a plausible composure %)~  I gave up trying to regain control of my Master google account. This same number just called again and left a voicemail to call 866 298 2014,(supposedly an electronic Verizon Customer Service questionaire, and quite possibly authentic for all I know, but I think I'll pass! I've seen 949 286 3971 listed under TW Telecom, and my internet provider is Time Warner, but enough already. I live in NY City. scam?, call type?, I don't even care anymore, it's just creepy stupid.

Got a call when I activated a new phone on my old account.  I missed the call.  Reading comments here, it appears to be telemarketing.  Somehow hacked into Verizon is the opinion.  I will let Verizon Customer Service know about this.  Another post here said Verizon is investigating.  Actually, I need to register my phone # with the National Do Not Call list.  Maybe that will stop the call.

OMG!  I just moments ago called Verizon Customer Service about a fraud issue and almost immediately this number appeared in my caller ID.  I did not answer but did a reverse look up and found this website.  
Thanks to all those who posted!  This information was very helpful.  But don't expect help from Verizon.  I found both customer service and fraud prevention to be totally useless in my other case.  Am waiting now for the local police to arrive...

Its just a customer service quality control survey to see if your needs were or are met. Im glad Verizon cares

I just called Verizon Prepaid to get Auto Pay set up - this phone number called in just after I finished up with Rep. I don't answer calls I'm not familiar with. My concern is that if it's a legitimate Survey, why would Verizon not have advised me that a Survey phone call would be forthcoming???? Hmmmmm ...

I'm writing a reply back to my own post - just got another call; this time they left a message: it IS Verizon doing a follow up Survey ... I believe, however, I should have been notified by the Verizon agent I was dealing with that there would be a phone call for a survey .... they need to be more professional than this IMHO.

The voice mail was from Verizon (phone company), to complete a "Customer Satisfaction Survey" at 866-298-2014. When I called the "866" number, it was an automated Verizon system, but I didn't do the survey. About 30 minutes prior to this call, I did legitimate with Verizon.

Popped up with the name Cajun in truecaller app.
