Gotten several of these now. No messages. iPhone caller ID says it's coming from Irvine, CA.

They're baaaaaack...

Someone called me appologizing for not getting back to me on a quote for extended car warranty.  The caller represented herself as "Customer Vehicle Services"

Okay, these assclowns used to be C1F Marketing, or they are using a sucker-list purchased from C1F Marketing.  C1F Marketing's website is now down.  I could tell that it was these same guys because it was for an auto warranty and they used a bogus name that I fed them (Bartholomew Simpson).  Seriously, if you are still calling me after I give you the name Bart Simpson, you are pretty lame.

Don't even think about buying anything from these guys.  If you have, call your credit card company immediately and tell them not to honor the charge to you card.

At least they have stopped breaking the law by initiating the call with a robo-call, but I did request to be put on their 'do not call' list, so they will be getting a nasty-gram from the FCC for this violation.

I received a call similar to the one Bart Simpson documented below.  When they told me I had to make a decision before hanging up the phone, I said that was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard and the CSR immediately hung up on me!

Noone ever says a word they call at to utmost inconvenient time and never say a word. I'll call back to receive a busy signal every time. Please stop calling me and my number. P8U6

I answer call on my cell# & they hang up. Never leave a messg and no one ever on the line.

Got same call as shown above, "apologizing" for not calling sooner. I've gotten similar calls before, and when I ask even the most innocuous questions, they hang up. These bogus "auto service contracts" aren't even cheap. When I have engaged them in conversation long enough, they seem to be from the low $2000's to the low $3000's. Of course this is blatantly illegal, but you can bet that the FCC isn't going to do anything about your individual complaint. You might have better luck with your state Attorney General's Office. I'm sure all of us are on "do not call" lists, but that only limits competition for the illegally operating companies. This guy would say only that he was calling from "Southern California."

Followup:  These "Auto Service/Warranty Companies" are notorious for taking your money, paying the corporate bosses huge salaries, and filing bankruptcy. And there's nothing you can do to them for this "legalized" fraud. In order to prosecute, you have to PROVE that this was really their scheme all along. Good luck in getting an Attorney General or District Attorney to take such a case. Tough case to prove when it all hinges on one's state of mind, or their intentions. After all, even legitimate companies file bankruptcy and go out of business every day, only to set up shop again, many times using the same offices and phone banks.

This number just called again and left no message.  Again.

When we called back the number, we got a recording at "Customer Contract Services."  They say to submit Do Not Call requests to:

This is a pressure sales call from "US Protection Services".  They try to scam you into beliving your auto warranty is expiring and you'd better sign up with them.  These guys are bottom scum feeding off the stupidity of the American population.

These people or their computer call multiple times a day on my business line and are rarely on the line when I pick up.  Its extremely annoying. I'm in the process of initiating a complaint to the phone company to see if they can turn these guys over for prosecution to the DA or Better Business Bureau or have them shut down.  I'm on the national do not call list but it seems not to have deterred them. Will the FCC take real action on a complaint like this?

I've told them not to call me, and they keep calling. With every call, my prepaid minutes are wasted. When I try to return the call, only a machine picks up.

CALL THE NUMBER BACK 949-486-7598  WHEN YOU HEAR THE MESSAGE STARTING TO PLAY PRESS THE POUND # BUTTON ON YOUR PHONE, THIS ALLOWS YOU TO LEAVE A VERY LONG MESSAGE WHEN YOUR DONE PRESS THE # BUTTON AGAIN AND THEN PRESS 1 TO SAVE AND SEND.

OR YOU CAN TRY YOUR LUCK AT ACCESSING THERE MAIN SYSTEM CONTROLS BY PRESSING THE STAR * BUTTON WHEN YOU CALL AND TEH MESSAGE STARTS TO PLAY, IT WILL ASK YOU FOR A ACCESS CODE WHICH IS 4 NUMBERS  AFTER 3 WRONG TRIES IT WILL HANG UP ON YOU SO YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP CALLING AND TRYING DIFFERENT NUMBERS UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT.

Once you have access you have control over that number and can change the playing message , stop it from working, change the access code etc.. have fun. :)
