After a couple of days of calls from this number, with no message left, I answered the call. After a couple "hellos" by me, a guy started laughing ridiculously. Blocked!

949-610-1798 constantly shows up on my cell, nothing on other end.  Block it!

A woman asked for me by name. I confirmed it was me and she hung up.  The number does not allow inbound calls.

I blocked all 949 area codes a long time ago as I know no one from California. This number is not a robo call. A robo call does not call right back a second time! I hope this scum bag gutter rat liked getting zapped. Ha ha love my block! Crawl back in the slime hole you were born from gutter rat.

This scam artist company is called 'Local Splash' from Fountain Valley, California.
They are a fraudulent SEO (search engine optimizer) or basic solicitor of trying to get your business on the top page of Bing, Google and other search engines. According to their Yelp page, it doesn't go as planned.

After posting ad  craigslist, start to receive phone calls from 949-610-1798

I received a call from this number.  I don't know anyone from California.  I tried calling back but the number does not accept calls.

Just got a call from 949-610-1798. He first asked for "Vicky." I told him we had no such person, and who was he trying to get hold of. He then wanted to speak to the person in charge of our online business. I told him that was me. He started a sales pitch, but I cut him off and told him that if he was trying to sell me something, to write me a letter.  He countered by saying, "But I've got you on the phone right now." So, I explained that we did not take cold sales calls, that if he wanted to sell something to send the literature. That seemed to set him off. That's when I hung up on him.

Why do these people still have a phone? They never say anything, just call and hang up. When I called the number back, it says this number does not accept incoming calls. It should have said these are dead beats with nothing to do!

Not sure who this is but they sure are persistant.  Will block this phone number...

braindrugstore is a scam

They will destroy your reputation online and try to extort money from you to fix it. This is a scam that has been going around. Block the number and don't speak to them.

Sure is, they went as far as promising me a 35% increase in sales..

He called and asked for the owner of the business, when I said he was in a meeting, I was hung up on. RUDE! I tried to call back to give him a piece of my mind, but the number doesn't accept incoming calls. They are blocked.  Jerks.

These people call CONSTANTLY! asking for the owner of our company by name, and rudely hanging up when I told them that they could not be reached at the number they were dialing. I finally found the name of their company, Local Splash in California, and the gentleman that I spoke with was nice, and he did confirm that the number is from an outbound line of their company and offered to remove me from the list. Their number to reach a live person is (877) 635-6225. If he did actually remove me from the list, we'll see, but you got to start somewhere I guess.

you have absolutely no idea what youre talking about, neither do most the people commenting on this. Number 1 company for what we do in the US and Canada, can fight the facts and statistics my friend.

Lady, saying her name is Stephanie with Local List called to try and solicit my company to get better google page rank. I had to ask FOUR  times to be put on the Do Not Call list and she kept trying to solicit me. She was very snarky and condescending, typical scummy telemarketer.
