Report a phone call from 949-660-5685 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- justmeI just received a call from this number. A woman identified herself as being with a phone company investigating a charge. She asked "Are you responsible for paying the bill for this home phone?". I answered it was not a home phone but a business phone and she hung up.
I called the number and reached an operator. The company is "Consumer Telecom". I explained the situation that they hung up on me and she apologized saying "They were trying to offer you long distance service.
Next time I will hang up. - MD home phone userI just received a call from this number stating that my phone bill had automatically been lowered by $7.00 because it had been identified as a "low usage" long distance number. She pretended she was reading to me off my own phone bill ("see on page 2 where it says...") What she didn't know was that I don't have long distance on this line, I just use my cell phone for that! She said she would transfer me to someone and all I had to do was verify who I was and that this was my number, and my savings would go into effect. When I told her I had no long distance service, she hung up on me.
The good news is, I called the number back, and got a customer service rep who told me that this was way out of line, that their telemarketers are not allowed to pretend they have access to my phone records, and not allowed to pretend I am just "verifying." She said they were in fact trying to sell me a long distance plan, and that they had not signed me up for anything (she checked to verify I had no account with them.) She also said she was required to report my call to her supervisor, that they would find out who called me, monitor their calls, and discipline them. So...a mixed report. - s deThis #19496605685 called and said he was going to charge all collect calls to me. I now just called the FBI and they are going to look into these charges.
- dina rossi am a customer who had call me and actually lie to me about what they have to offer they tell unlimited for my low usage of calls for 2.95 so i called the company back and she tells me it is for a 30 minutes for free and 5 cents after that would not tell me how they got all my information about me

- lyndaI just received a call from this number about my long distance phone bill. A man asked to speak to the person of the house. I told them this was a business and they hung up on me. I called back and was kept on hold. The automatic voice system just kept saying, "thanks for calling customer care and one of our representative will be with you" , no name of the company or anything...real fishy!
- Caller: None Provided
- NE businessGot a call from the same number saying she was calling regarding a long distance charge on our phone bill. This is a business and the call came in on one of our "off" lines. She asked if I was the person in charge of the phone bill. I hesitated as there are several of us it could pertain to and was rudely informed.."it's a yes or no question...are you in charge of the phone bill?"......so I said no and she hung up. Irritating and rude.
- S.M.i WOULD BE VERY WEARY OF THIS CALL. This is a pshishing call to solicit your information possibly for I.D. theft. DO NOT attempt to cal lthem back and give them your "account" information as there is no existing account. They want you to "verify" information they do not even have so they can steal it from you to use for other ill purposes. Report this call to your authorities and probably the FCC. Do NOT give them or even verify your info.
- JOI get called at least twice a day from 1-949-660-5685. They always just hang up on my machine which clearly states that "we do screen all calls...." but still annoying that they keep calling. They know we don't pick up! Besides which I have a long distance plan thru Sprint where I get "unlimited long distance (which they said was 6,000 minutes actual time I can have) for $15.00 plus taxes. Got it thru having cell phone service with them. I'm never giving up that plan!!!
- Caller: DON'T KNOW
- DrKKYeah, this pleasant sounding woman just called me. Here was the conversation. T for telemarketer, M for me:
T: "Hi, we've identified your number as a low usage number, and hence you are eligible for reduced long distance rates."
M: "Really? That's supercalifragislistic fantastic! And what company's records did you consult with to determine that I'm an awesome low-user?"
T: "Your phone company!"
M: "You mean BellSouth?"
T: "Yes!"
M: "Wow, that's totally extra cool, because I have no phones with Bell South! How much long distance does it say I use?"
T: "Less than 5 hours per week!"
M: "Wow, that's extra cool beans right there, because I use more like 55 hours per week of long distance!"
T: <CLICK> - pjWoman asked to speak to the person in charge of the phone bill. Then proceeded to inform me that we have very few long distance calls and could give us a savings because of it. She pursued by saying "OK". I said are you asking me or telling me? She hung up.
- DonMan asked who was responsible for phone bills. I tol dhim it was a business line and he said he will call back later and hung up.
- Caller: California
- JimReceived a call from this number. The person said he was an operator
and noted that my phone line is a low long distance usage line. I advised
that we use the cell for long distance. He asked if we still had the phone set for long distance, I said yes. He said that our usage doesnt justify the $12.95 per month. The rate can be lowered to $2/mth.
I asked what company are you from?
He hung up...- Caller: Consumer Telcom
- srI get these calls daily. I am very frustrated. I am on the no-call list but it doesn't matter.
- DonSounds like they are all over the nation doing this.
I had the same thing of they were from Consumer Tecom and had a question about a long distance charge on my phone bill and wanted to speak to the person in charge of the phone.
The first words out of my mouth were "You just lied to me..." and they didn't let me get passed them five words before they hung up.- Caller: Consumer Telcom
- no nameI used to work for a phonecompany I have heard of this and I got this number on my call id. Please dont believe any of the nonsense the caller gives. take notes and report it to the FCC and your state PUC. It make phone companies look all bad.
- chrisI just got a call from someone at THAT number telling me that I show low long distance use on my accout and qualify for a discounted plan. I immediately asked what phone company they were from and was told it was impolite to interupt someone. Then he hung up. Can you believe it!!! After reading all these other complaints dating back to July 2007 I can't help but wonder why these phone calls are still allowed to be made. Isn't there some agency out there that can stop this practice? I'm sure the person at THAT number receiving the complaints from people like us is only pacifying us and could care less how their solicitors drum up business.
- YN| 1 replyI received a phone call from this number, but surprising the caller kept on saying, "Hello...hello?"
