claim to be from the treasury dept

has called several times, first few times it was from a number in New York, not it is  from 949-734-5184.  Same person, same accent.  says his name is Steve martin, calling about an enforcement action from US treasury.  Sys if I do not cooperate may lead to a warrant in front of a magistrate or as a criminal offense in front of a grand jury.   Scammers al the way.

Same thing - some stupid guy with a heavy accent left a message on my answering machine. Says " This message is intended to contact you"

Calls 2 - 3 times in one day - now using a different name, but is the same person.  Your comments are correct, Moron and Idiot.

Same exact caller just left voice mail on my home phone!!! Could hardly understand him with his heavy Asian accent. Will be reporting it now that i see all of your posts.

Steve Martin called me twice in three days. Once from a 760 number and now from the 949 number.

Yes, same with me - on thurs it was from a 760 number, now 949 and now he is using a different name.

Indian accent.  Says he's C. Martin from Treasury.  First few calls were from Pacifica now Newport Beach.  Annoying as hell!

Yep.  Steve Martin now works for the US Treasury and claims it's a "federal criminal offense" if you don't call back ... Right!!

If the Caller ID isn't spoofed, 949-734-5184 is managed by Level 3, CLLI = LSANCA54DS1.  Supposedly this is "Steve Martin, a man with what sounds like a heavy Indian accent calling to inform me of a US Treasury enforcement action (no details - doesn't even know my name) and that this is the 2nd attempt to call me (actually this is the 1st) and that my failure to contact him could result in some sort of criminal offense with action taken against me by the court or US Treasury.  How do you spell S-C-A-M?

Got the same message in machine from heavy accented guy calling himself Steve Martin. Received similar message a while back from probably same guy with different name that we could not understand and from a 323 area number.

Same message. In fact I called him back just to mess with him and he got angry and hung up on me because I wouldn't give him my name.

Two calls from this # today.  Several calls previously.  I answer and just get dead-air.  

I received the call from the same idiot. I hope he calls again and I will say I'm from the Treasury too.

I got the same MSG from the same scammer. If we can find out where this POS lives I will file a lawsuit against his ass. This is illegal

I got it from 877.734.5184, same caller. Who do you report his to in order to stop this trespass. Who owns this number?

I received a call at 5:50 am. I let it go to voicemail but once I realized who it was as I've received these kinds of calls before, I called him back and tore him a new one. I advised him that the US Treasury/IRS will never call you, that they will communicate via mail only. I told him that I will be reporting him for fraudulent activity. At that point he hung up on me so I called him back and gave him an earful of expletives. Not my usual style but being woken up before 6 am on a Saturday (my only day to sleep in) warranted it.
