On Friday, July 9th at 1:45 pm, I received the following text message from (949)748-0970:  "Do you owe $10,000+ to the IRS? Our gov't approved program can reduce back taxes by over 70%, Reply "yes" to see if you qualify! (optout, reply:out)"
I don't owe back taxes, nor do I appreciate these "clowns" using my limited text messaging allottment for their gain.  Ultimately, I'm paying for them to advertise. #%&**@@!!!  UGH!

I got the same obnoxious text this morning. They have been coming in like crazy. They are driving me crazy. Makes me want to change my number and never give it out.

Someone keeps texting me from this number and I do not susbcribe to texting on my phone so it is costing me money.  I do not owe the IRS anything. I finally called them back and got a machine today and told them I don't know who you are but do not ever, ever call or text me again.  Don't know if it will work, but they have no right to harrass me.

You may be able to block this number.Check with your carrier to see if this feature is available on your phone plan. I currently have three numbers blocked from scammers such as this one.I do not have texting on my phone either, so I understand your problem in that this is costing you money.There was no additional charge for blocking.

Received same message as listed above. Have no idea how they got my cell number to text me. As above, this text costs me money! Any additional info would be appreciated.

I received a text message from this number (949)748-0970. I am on the do not call registry, opt out list and anything else available to keep these types of things from happening. I immediately called the number back and of course, because the line I was using is my home hard line and is blocked, the person did not answer.
This person is advertising some sort of IRS debt relief, which I do not need, and I do not want to pay for the texts from this or any other solicitor.
Please do not contact me EVER again.

Every day I get several calls from a company who asks if I owe back taxes.  I do not and they just hang up on me then keep calling.  they do not only call from this number, they have several which I will list here.  401-558-0009  785-807-6503   701-509-8086   406-852-8352  765-807-6503   these number and a few more that I didnt track have shown up every day on my phone!   Please do something about this.
