call center in response to internet query about foreclosure property.  Really a scam because they say free info then after completing their questionnaire, they then require a CC#.  I "backed out" of this and still left a trail. I was looking for any foreclosures on a specific lake which they said they had.  In reality, through another source, there are no foreclosures in that area.  Apparently they use different company names.  Each time I tell them not to call me, I get it from someone else with a different company name.  Too bad our govt. doesn't put as much energy into stop these kind of predators as they do trying to trying to re-make the American car companies. LOL

i started to sign up and then backed out as well once they needed a credit card for my "free" trial. My phone number must have still registered bc i continuously get calls from them and they don't leave a voicemail.

Ah, glad this is here.  Got a call today and they didn't leave a message.  I, too, back out of the site after beginning registration when they asked for a credit card for their "free" offer.  Next time I try registering for some "free" program, I'll type in a fake cell number.

I did the same thing the other day. Why is it a free trial and yet you have to give creditcard info? Now this is what I get to look forward to. Great

I left this number on a RealtyTrac web site a few days ago and backed out when it required a CC.  I consider the "free trial" and requirement of CC method they used deceptive because you don't know you will have to hand over a CC until much other personal info has ALREADY been collected!  No voice mail left.

I did not want to receive a call back. Why are they calling me for an internet query?

I agree with above comments. They call me around 3-4 times daily, leaves no message, and say their reality service online is free and then ask for your credit card number. Stay away from these scammers!

Receiving phone calls from this number just days after looking at foreclosed property in Florida --- link from CNN.com

I called them back, asking who they were and why they called. They told who they were (I already knew, as i backed out of trial as well), and that they were calling in regards to my website visit a few days ago. I told them I've never heard of them and that I've never been to their site. He politely stated he would take me off of the list. We'll see. Perhaps it's just that easy.

This is from a company called Realty Trac. (www.realtytrac.com). They are the leading resource to finding residential and business foreclosures in the United States. More than likely if you get a call from them it's because you signed up for a free 7 day trial, and they are wanting you to renew a monthly subscription. Trust me it's an excellent resource if your REALLY looking to buy a foreclosed property. Otherwise just do your 7 day trial if your curious and move on.

The number is from RealtyTrac. They get your # from online inquiries concerning foreclosures...sometimes through Trulia. You can call 888-444-3336 and have your number put on their "do not call" list.

It's from RealtyTrac...Just call the number back and tell them that you want to be taken of their dialer. It takes 30 seconds...PooF! No more annoying calls. :)
